Dawah around the World: Cooperate in Piety
AssalamuAlaykum WRWB
Welcome to today’s episode of Dawah around the World – Co-operate in Piety.
On November the 6th 2018 the mid-Term elections in the United States took place. The Muslims in America, as usual, were strongly encouraged to participate and have their voices heard by voting.
As it is well-known in Western political thought, the vote represents the transfer of sovereignty from the people to their representatives who will exercise it on their behalf. This presumes the idea that the people are sovereign! This is democracy - which contradicts the Islamic position that sovereignty belongs to Allah SWT alone!
The secular democratic ruling system is an un-Islamic system and participation in any aspect of it is haram, prohibited. So, partaking in ruling or legislation is prohibited for it requires involvement in ruling by other than what Allah SWT has revealed.
Allah SWT says, Bismillahir RahmaNir Rahim
إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَا التَّوْرَاةَ فِيهَا هُدًى وَنُورٌ يَحْكُمُ بِهَا النَّبِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُواْ لِلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ
“And whosoever does not rule by what Allah has revealed, they are the disbelievers.” Surah al-Ma’idah, verse 44
We see that not only is it against the laws of Allah, but ALSO after many years of participation, what have we as Muslim communities gained?
We still suffer constant attacks and propaganda, closures of masajid, difficulties in opening new centres, constant and unjustified surveillance by intelligence agencies and the like. In the recent past, Muslims were asked to vote for the likes of George Bush, Tony Blair and Barack Obama, only to painfully witness, in each and every case, them unleashing their destructive policies against Islam and Muslims once elected.
We must be clear that participation in elections is nothing but a tool used to assimilate Muslims, to dilute their Islamic identity and to make perceived benefit as the measure for their actions instead of halal or haram.
Therefore:
How can a Muslim who believes in Allah (SWT) and follows His Messenger (saw) abandon the noble Sunnah of the Prophet (saw), to support the corrupt secular Capitalism?
How can a Muslim choose a Congressman, Senator, President, or any other human being over Allah, disqualifying Him (SWT) as the Sole Ruler and Legislator?
How can Muslims follow the Jews and Christians in funding and electing political candidates who have adopted full implementation and preservation of kufr systems as their “platform”?
How many more times will Muslims choose the “lesser of two evils” and continue electing into office the likes of Clinton, Bush, or Obama who mercilessly bomb and brutalize their brothers and sisters overseas while accusing and imprisoning their brothers and sisters in the U.S.?
How much longer will the Muslims claim to “show the good of Islam” and “give dawah” by voting for the kufr system rather than conveying the noble Message of Islam according to the method of the Prophet SAW?
Hizb ut Tahrir America sends a very strong message to the Ummah in America- based upon the command of Allah SWT in Surah Maidah verse 2
وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ
“Cooperate in piety, do not cooperate in sin”
We are the best nation brought forth to mankind, today we extend the mark of two billion.
We must be proactive in setting and working for our own agenda based on Islam alone.
We need to challenge Western foreign policy.
We need to voice our opposition to the policies which lead to the oppression and killing of Muslims in the Muslim World; and we need to support the global work for the re-establishment of the Khilafah, which is the necessary means and the only solution to deal with the countless problems the Muslims face around the world.
Hizb ut Tahrir America, who promises to lead the ummah to the haqq, continues to remind the Muslims of this duty, as they have done in the past through videos, flyers, talks, and conferences. They will continue to strive in the path of thorns to prove that Islam is THE ONLY alternative to the clearly failed ways of the West, and IT IS upon us, the Ummah of Muhammad SAW, who are the best qualified to communicate what Islam is to our neighbours, friends and colleagues.
WE are obligated to do so rather than pumping life into the West’s Taghout system at times like these foolish pointless elections!

We end with the words of Allah SAW,
BismillahirRahmaNirRahim
وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ )
“And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.” Surah Maidah verse 2
