Haze – A Consequence of Greed and Failure of the System

At the time this article was written, the haze in Kuala Lumpur was on the verge of recovery. Kuala Lumpur's API (Air Pollution Index) readings dropped from over 200 to about 80. Most areas in Malaysia have also experienced reduction in API over the week. Although haze has generally improved in the country, southwestern monsoon will begin very soon, ‘promising’ that the haze will persist and may get worse.
