As of 9th December, 2023, the death toll from a recent landslide on Mount Hanang in Manyara Region, Tanzania rose to 85. Apart from a great number of deaths, this landslide caused numerous houses to be buried or swept away, infrastructures damages and displacement of local population.

America was not with us in 1971, but after achieving victory, it supported us for United Nations membership. We hope they will continue supporting Bangladesh after forming the government,

The process of forced deportation of Afghan Refugees is ongoing and so far, almost five hundred thousand Afghans have been deported from Pakistan to Afghanistan. Additionally, 134 thousand Afghans have been deported from Iran with 2263 others from Turkey. Likewise, the Interim Government of Pakistan announced on October 3 that out of four million Afghan refugees, 1.7 million illegal migrants shall be deported from Pakistan before November 1.
