During the week since the massacre at An-Noor and Linwood Mosques in New Zealand, we have seen some politicians grieving publicly, while many others have been notably quiet. We have seen some journalists questioning their industry’s role in promoting hateful anti-Muslim rhetoric, while many more have not, focusing instead on the gunman himself, the far-right groups, social media companies, or just moving on from the incident to the next tantalizing tale of celebrity trivia.

 In their desperation, the Hasina regime blocked international news media Al Jazeera for revealing the news on the involvement of state security apparatus in the crime of abduction and enforced disappearance (“Exclusive: Bangladesh top security adviser accused of abductions” Aljazeera.com, March 20, 2019). Since the current government assumed power in 2009, a good number of people including army officers have fallen victim to abduction and disappearance

 the Anti-Terrorism Tribunal in Dhaka, in a case filled in 2010, acquitted the former Chief Coordinator and Spokesperson of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Bangladesh, Professor Mohiuddin Ahmed along with four others, and sentenced Hizb ut Tahrir’s activists Saidur Rahman and Towhidul Alam for 2 years of imprisonment. With no evidence or witness against them all were supposed to be acquitted from this false case but due to the Government’s interference, the court delayed its verdict, the verdict was delayed 7 times,
