The comments made by Michael O’Leary are the symptom of the British government agenda to securitise Muslims. The policy to make ordinary people view all Muslims with suspicion as a potential security threat is applied across the policy spectrum and aims simply to create an atmosphere hatred for Islam and Muslims.
The Hadith establishes the elevated position and status in front of Allah (swt), in the Aakhirah, of the person who depends (makes Tawwakul) solely on Allah (swt). Such a person would enter Paradise without any reckoning and punishment, as he depends only on Allah instead of blowing after chants, or indulges in omens, superstitions and cauterizing (through fire). This is a sign of a high level of Tawwakul on Allah (swt).
The contemporary notions of safety and threat in the West are intrinsically linked to the manifestation of Islam in their societies and abroad.
