Colonialism was keen to destroy the entity of the Ummah through its attempts to disrupt the pillars of the family. Not only did they demean the father’s and mother’s position under the name of freedom and equality, but rather it sought to mislead our children by working to find an emerging pattern that is contrary to the human’s nature.
The Appeals Court in England has declared that a nikah with hundreds of witnesses cannot be considered a marriage; therefore, in the case of divorce the spouses have no rights and no legal protection. This is the failure of the secular state, which cannot accommodate people of different values and faiths. On the one hand, it promotes promiscuity as a modern liberal right, while denying separating couples, who have not formally registered their marriage with the state, any legal rights.
