On the 2nd of January 2020, Emomali Rakhmon signed a series of laws adopted by the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Lower House) and supported by the Majlisi milli (Upper House). Among these laws is the law “On Countering Extremism.” It is reported also that the new law was developed by the General Prosecutor of Tajikistan in pursuance of instructions from the president.

A delegation from Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan met with Ustath Ar-Rashid Saeed Yaqoub, First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information and Culture, and the assigned director of the National Authority for Radio and Television in his office on Monday 06/01/2020...The delegation asserted that Islam has solutions for the country's hot issues, and gave the example of the fighting and rivalries that occur between the tribes, although these tribes have one common denominator, which is Islam, which prohibits killing of souls, and rejects racism and regional divisions.

The passage of three bills to extend the service of the chiefs of Pakistan’s army, navy and air force, has far from evoked celebration amongst Muslims. In fact, the muted response is through apathy and despair. This is because the actual purpose of military leadership has been lost in the Muslim World, since the destruction of our Khilafah (Caliphate).
