Hizb ut-Tahrir's announcement of Eid al-Fitr 1430 Hijri
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illallah, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahil hamd
Alhamdulillah and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم, and peace be upon his family, his companions, those who gave their loyalty to him, and those who followed him, tracing his steps and establishing the Islamic 'Aqeeda as the foundation for their thought, and the Ahkam Al-Shar'iyyah as the measure for judgment in their actions and the source of their laws.
It was narrated by Al-Bukhari in his Sahih on the authority of Muhammed Bin Ziyad, who said, "I heard Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, say: ‘The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said', or he said, ‘Abu Al-Qasim صلى الله عليه وسلم said: Fast when you see it, and break your fast when you see it, and if you cannot see it then complete 30 days of Sha'ban.'"
After seeking the Hilal of the month of Shawwal on this Saturday evening, a legal (Shar'ee) sighting of the moon has been confirmed in some Muslim countries. Therefore, tomorrow, Sunday 20th September 2009 is the first day of Eid al-Fitr 1430 Hijri.
The Amir of Hizb ut-Tahrir, Ata' Ibn Khalil Abu Arrashtah, would like to congratulate all the Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and ask Allah سبحانه وتعالى to bless the Islamic Ummah with the righteous Khalif, behind whom we fight and protect ourselves.
Taqabbalallaahu minnaa wa minkum
Siyaamana wa siyaamakum
Kulu ‘aamin wa antum bi khoirin
May Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) accept our and your acts of worship.
Wassalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
