Government Formation
A Failing Weak Entity Governed by Politicians who are Deteriorating Profiteers!
(Translated)
Barely a year passes without an internal crisis in Lebanon, demonstrating the level of failure and weakness that this country has reached as an entity... France founded it in order to achieve its colonial interests at the expense of the suffering of its people, after it stripped it of its Islamic surroundings, and made every sect in it a minority struggling with other sects for quotas within the institutions of the state. Thus, the scourge of sectarianism had ruined the state's political, security and economic institutions, and fueled hostility and hatred between the people of this entity.
Then America inherited the Lebanese entity after the civil war that began in 1975, which made things worse, when it enshrined the Taif agreement and made the ruler in Lebanon the “Collegial Cabinet”; the average number of governments after the Taif agreement became one government every year and a half. In 13 years, after the Syrian regime came out of Lebanon, there were four intermittent years of resigned governments. So, corruption and the "systematic" plunder of public funds became rampant under the name of quotas, disguised as "co-existence".
After the parliamentary elections on 6/5/2018, in which the percentage of participation in accordance with the proportional representation dropped to 49%, Lebanon entered the stage of forming the government after Saad Hariri was named president designate, and hurdles began to surface. The first being the Druze knot, then the Lebanese Forces, which lasted nearly five months, and then the parties showed an odd response in favor of forming the government! Suddenly, a new knot appeared which lies in the demand of Iran's party to appoint an additional minister from its Sunni allies loyal to the Bashar regime, as if it did not anticipate the solving of the Druze knot and the Forces, to put forward this obstacle, like a peg to prolong the formation of the government, that America, the most influential in Lebanon, seems not to see it urgent at this time.
The concentrated attack on Walid Jumblatt and Samir Geagea, was clear during the latest speech of the leader of the Iran’s party, after both the President and the president of the Free Patriotic Movement preceded him in the attack during the past months. Whereas, the leader of the Future Movement, Saad Hariri has shown the role of a neutral person throughout this period until the peg of “appointing ministers from the Sunni” who are loyal to the Bashar regime was put forward, which is thought to open the door of new compromises, as was the end of the crisis of the President and the presidency of the government through means of compromises! This time, it may be in favor of ensuring that the Iran’s party does not find its opponents in the government in the US sanctions case, which is being taken by the Trump administration to diminish Iran's influence and tools after their role in the region has been met and used in various crises. Last week, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Levant Affairs and Special Envoy for Syria in the U.S. State Department, Joel Rayburn, met with the Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri and the governor of the Bank of Lebanon, and discussed the issue of the application of sanctions on Iran and its party in Lebanon. Following which, the President of the Republic adopted a different resolution on the Iran’s party regarding the latter's demanding to appoint a Sunni figure belonging to him as a minister, which provoked the Iran’s party to give its fiery remarks - during a speech by its general secretary - last week, which tossed the formation of the government indefinitely.
These knots, although taking different forms, they, in fact, are one issue, which is the imposition of volumes and the pattern of interactions within the government, so that the US alliance can impose its decisions without obstruction or confusion by the other party calculated on Europe, especially after the Cedar Conference, which granted Lebanon about $11 billion in concessionary loans.
Lebanon is a state that is far from being sovereign, and Lebanon, like all other Muslim countries, is "independent" by name only ... America controls all its joints, deciding when the government will be formed and when it is disabled, and then it is on the advocates of politics and sovereignty, leaders of the sects in Lebanon to implement these decisions, and the people of the country who tasted the bitterness are the ones who pay the price.
The salvation of the people of Lebanon as we have said before and we will always repeat it: Lebanon is a failing, weak entity with no elements of a state and no way to reform it from within. It is based on corrupt rules, most notably its sectarian composition.
The salvation of the people of Lebanon is to return Lebanon, as it was, part of the Islamic world, under the rule of the Khilafah Rashidah (righteous Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood, which cuts off the hands of the colonizer, ends the political system based on quotas and corruption, and joins it to a system of care and not a system of levying. A state that takes care of the affairs of the citizens of this state regardless of their beliefs, and brings the people of the country out from the sectarian mentality and the spiral of conflict in which they are, to the mentality of natural life as it was for decades before, under the righteous rule of the Khilafah Rashidah on the method of the Prophethood ...
And then these politicians fall and are accountable for what they wasted of right of their Ummah and their people, and for their subordinate to the Kafir colonial West.
(وَسَيَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَيَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبُونَ)
“And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned.” [Ash-Shu’ara: 227].
