It is clear that the “New Pakistan” project has failed, as the noble Muslims of Pakistan are crushed by poverty, hardship and unemployment, whilst being wounded by the prolonged, unmet aggression against Occupied Kashmir by the Hindu State. The failure is so severe that no attempt to give hope in the current ruling system is working.

With devastating losses in property and paralyzing disruption in electricity supply, much of Karachi remained submerged in a waist-deep mixture of rainwater and sewerage, several days after heavy rains during the annual monsoon season. Thus, within days, decades of neglect of Pakistan’s economic hub and largest city, home to over twenty million, erupted into a national crisis.

As we struggled to treat our sick, feed our families and educate our children, the budget, announced on 12 June 2020, confirmed that the current system bleeds us dry by a parasite economy of interest based debt, whilst our affairs are grossly neglected.

Even with concessions for some industries, the complete national lock down in Pakistan, as a response to the Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) outbreak, has itself become a huge burden upon the masses. It is being said that Muslims now face a choice of either hunger, through lock down, or the disease, through its rapid spread. So, on the one hand Muslims are witnessing the rapid spread of the infection.
