Intelligence Services Iniquity against Muslims Grows

18 January 2013, two Muslims, named Shahzod Salimov, born 1986, and Rahmatulloh Mahmudov, born 1988, were abducted from one of Moscow's mosques situated on Bolshaya Tatarskaya Street after Friday's Jum'aa prayer. Later on, one of them by phone informed his friend that they have been delayed by FSB officers. He notified that he had received a prosecution by Article 282 Part 1 from the Russian Criminal Code.

Attack on the House of Allah in Kazan

In Kazan, 16 January 2013, the police closed Al-Ikhlas Masjid. Since 7 a.m. considerable forces from the Ministry of Internal Affairs were drawn up to the mosque. There were about 10 buses and other special machinery by the mosque. Also there stood a loader and some dump trucks. About 100 police officers surrounded a mosque nearby area. 10 Muslims were arrested for allegedly disobeying the police.

France Leads New Crusader Assault in Mali

Earlier this month, on 11 January 2013, French President Francois Hollande announced French military intervention in Mali, in the form of airstrikes and troops on the ground. These troops will remain "as long as necessary" in order to achieve "security in Mali, a legitimate authority, an electoral process, and no more terrorists threatening the integrity of the country," as subsequently stated by Hollande.
