Press Release
With Firm Loyalty to Doha Agreement, Afghanistan Won’t Dare to Do Anything Even If It Shared a Border with Palestine!

According to ISNA news agency, the Political Deputy of the Prime Minister of Afghanistan, who had travelled to Tehran to participate in the swearing-In ceremony of the new Iranian president. While talking about the cause of Palestine during this meeting, he stated: “Afghanistan, together with the Islamic Republic of Iran, supports the oppressed people of Gaza, and maybe if we shared a border with the occupying regime, we would have gone to war with the Zionists in defence of the oppressed people of Gaza.”

The Political Deputy of the Prime Minister declared these words at a time when the Doha Agreement coupled with some illegitimate political ideas have tied the hands of the Afghan government behind its back to an extent that even if Afghanistan itself were geographically placed near of Palestine, it could not have taken action against Zionist entity. In the Doha Agreement, the United States has obtained firm commitments from the ruling regime that “will not allow any of its members, other individuals and groups, including Al-Qaeda, to use Afghan soil to threaten the security of the United States and its allies.” With this agreement, America also protects its allies from the risk of being attacked. Meanwhile, the Zionist entity is seen as America’s greatest ally.

Therefore, under the loyalty to this agreement, if Afghanistan shared a border with Palestine, the justifications of its rulers would not have been different from that of the rulers of Egypt and Jordan. Although those countries have stronger military capabilities and armed forces than Afghanistan, they still argue for their economic interests and political agreements as a justification to not support the Palestinian people. Egypt signed the Camp David Peace Treaty with ‘Israel’ in 1978, and Jordan signed the Wadi Araba Treaty in 1994, based on which they have pledged that ‘Israel’ would not be threatened and that they would secure various kinds of engagement with ‘Israel’.

Among other issues that have helped tie the hands of the Afghan government to comprehensively implement Islam and reach out to the oppressed, is due to its pragmatic and economic-based foreign policy. Under this policy, most of the values are put aside while the economic-based interests are given a priority. It is definitely because of the economy-oriented policies as well as personal and national interests that have forced the countries bordering Palestine to betray the Muslims of Gaza.

America provides financial aid to Jordan and Egypt to ensure the Jewish entity’s security. Lebanon and Syria continue their betrayal based on the argument of national interests and economy-oriented policy. At the same time, Islam has acknowledged its foreign policy based on carrying Islam through Dawah and Jihad.

No excuse can stop the rulers of Islamic lands from reaching out to the oppressed people of Palestine. If not sharing a border with Palestine is an excuse for not helping them, it should be noted that Afghanistan has borders Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, where Islamic values and rituals are banned and Muslims are imprisoned and tortured simply for practicing Islam. Following a ban on Hijab by the government of Tajikistan, you might even have heard the voices of the Muslim girls of Tajikistan as they called out to Afghanistan, screaming ‘Wa Mutasemah!’. We also have a shared border with East Turkestan, a land occupied by Chinese Communist government whose people are tortured and suppressed like the people of Gaza, but the Afghan government says they are committed to “One China” policy and warmly welcome the Chinese delegations.

Therefore, unless the rulers of Afghanistan observe their piety and stop declaring diplomatic and shallow statements, they will soon join the caravan of other rulers of Islamic lands. They should avoid the use of non-Islamic justifications similar to that of other Muslim rulers – who plot Makr (deceits) with their own people. They should be afraid of the Makr (hidden plans) of Allah (swt) because Allah is the best of Maakerin. It should be realized that just as the support to the oppressed is obligatory on the people of power, the establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) is also obligatory on them because the Khilafah will defend the land and honor of Allah and the sanctum of Muslims like a steel fortress. Therefore, it’s the Islamic responsibility for the people of power, to break those covenants (Mishaq) that are in blatant contradiction with the covenant (misaq) of Allah (swt) by establishing the Second Rightly-Guided Khilafah so that Allah (swt) would shower His Nasr upon you and make your steps firm.

“O believers! If you stand up for Allah, He will help you and make your steps firm.” [Muhammad: 7]
