The post-WWII Western world order - built on globalisation, international law, and the universalisation of secularism and democracy - is collapsing before our very eyes.

The very principles used to enforce Western hegemony are now discarded as they prove either unenforceable or counterproductive in the face of rising global competition. The United States is desperately trying to get ahead of its civilisational decline after the collapse of the era of US-led unipolarity.

With this shift, the mask of feigned Western benevolence has fallen away. Nations no longer even pretend to uphold the values they once imposed upon others. The international order has been exposed as nothing more than a tool for Western dominance - discarded when it no longer serves their interests. What remains is a world where states openly act in pursuit of raw power, without the usual pretences of international law, human rights or territorial integrity.

Donald Trump is not an anomaly but a reflection of the West itself. He merely vocalises loudly what previous Western leaders pursued quietly. His words and policies – of open xenophobia, land annexation, genocide and displacement - are not departures from Western civilisation but its natural outgrowth. He is the product of a system in which many have grown tired of the political correctness needed to disguise the West’s true ugliness.

The world now sees the West for what it truly is – violent, self-interested and morally bankrupt. As the Western order crumbles, humanity must look beyond the failed Western ideologies of the last century and turn to Islam for a new vision that is not built on exploitation, hypocrisy, and oppression.
