In the Context of Sheikh Hasina’s Oppressive Rule and the Current Political Situation
A Special Call from Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Bangladesh
on coming Friday, 17 June 2016

The people of Bangladesh are facing many critical problems at present. Their predicament is compounded by the oppressive rule of tyrant Hasina and her government. It has become incumbent upon the aware and sincere politicians to come forward with a comprehensive project outlining the way out of the current distressful situation and direct the people towards the right path for correcting their affairs. In this context, Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Bangladesh, which has committed itself to guiding the people and leading them towards intellectual and political revival, will be making a Special Call on coming Friday, 17 June 2016.

Members and activists of the party have been undertaking a vigorous publicity campaign regarding the coming call and the response of the Ummah has been tremendous. The people are eagerly waiting for the Call to be made and the government has become restless to prevent it. In the past week the regime’s henchmen have arrested more than 10 members and activists of the party including making a fabricated case of carrying pistols and gunpowder against one activist of the party, Omar Faruq, in Chapai Nawabganj district of Rajshahi division. Also, the Detective Branch thugs in Jessore have taken the sister-in-law of an activist of the party along with her infant child. Shame on this government; we condemn such unacceptable actions of the government. Why is the government resorting to such lowly tactics? It is because they know they will be unable to come up with an alternative call and therefore want to deter the party from making it’s call. However, the party will make it’s call as per it’s announcement insha’Allah and the government will fail miserable to prevent it just as it had failed to prevent the party from live streaming it’s Online Political Conference not very long ago.
