The brutality and state terrorism which the Hasina government launched yesterday (Monday, 04-04-2011), in a country of 160 million Muslims, against the Ulama and the Muslims who were observing a national general strike against the kufr ‘National Women Policy 2011' and other anti-Islamic activities of the government is comparable to the Jewish barbarism and state terrorism against the Muslims in Palestine. This as well as the indiscriminate firing of bullets targeting at demonstrators the day before (Sunday, 03-04-2011), which killed one madrasa student, a hafez of the Qur'an, is clear evidence of killer Hasina's policy of terrorizing the people. Hizb ut-Tahrir, condemns in the strongest possible terms, such acts of brutality and state terrorism by the government of Sheikh Hasina, the enemy of Islam and self declared agent of the kafir-mushrik states. Hizb ut-Tahrir, prays to Allah (swt) for the murdered hafez and for the quick recovery of the injured. Furthermore, we pray to Allah (swt) to accept the murdered brother as a Shaheed, the Messenger (saw) said:

« سيد الشهداء حمزة بن عبد المطلب، ورجل قال إلى إمام جائر فأمره ونهاه فقتله » « صحيح الإسناد

((The master of the Martyrs is Hamza Bin Abdul Muttalib, and a man who stood up against the tyrant ruler. He ordered him and forbade him and he was killed)) Sahih

It need not be repeated here that ‘the National Women Policy, 2011' which the government approved last month contradicts the Noble Qur'an and the Shari'ah rules. As a result 160 million Muslims of the country immediately started to raise their voices against it. However ignoring such protests the deceptive Hasina government adopted the path of repeatedly lying to the people that the policy does not go against the Qur'an and Sunnah. The government used the state administration and the media - state and private - to sell its lies to people but failed to convince the people. Then on Friday, April 01, 2011, ahead of the general strike called by the Ulama, the government through the ministry of religious affairs distributed a leaflet, spending the people's money, trying once again to deceive the people but with no success. Thus the government has now resorted to terrorism and repression against the protest movement of 160 million Muslims.

Hizb ut-Tahrir calls upon the Muslims of the country to strongly protest the government's brutality against the Ulama. Furthermore the party calls upon the people to remove this government which by its actions and policies has clearly defined its position as the enemy of Allah (swt), His Messenger (saw), and Islam and the Muslims.

Hizb ut-Tahrir makes the following calls to the respected Ulama of the country:

• 1. Remain steadfast and continue your movement; do not let the government's repression make you waiver in your determination;
• 2. Direct your movement towards the removal of the government. This is the only way to bring an end to the kufr policies of the government; and
• 3. Moreover, move forward with your movement by directing it against the entire kufr secular democratic ruling system and sever all ties with the advocates of this system, including Khaleda Zia and the BNP. This system is the root upon which all the kufr we witness in the state and the society are established. Therefore, from your honoured position as the inheritors of the Prophets, launch an all out movement to re-establish the Khilafah "Caliphate" state which will cut the roots of kufr and run the affairs of state and society on the basis of the Noble Qur'an and the Sunnah of RasulAllah (saw).

Hizb ut-Tahrir stands beside you; while you mobilize the madrasas, Hizb ut-Tahrir is mobilizing the colleges and universities as well the general society against the government and the kufr system. The downfall of this tyrant government, and the kufr ruling system; and the return of the Khilafah "Caliphate" is soon, inshaAllah.
