“Upon the Centenary of the Destruction of the Khilafah ...O Muslims, Establish It!”
(Translated)

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, Lord of the universes, Creator of the heavens and the earth. Creator of humankind, the One who sent Prophets and Messengers, the warner of nations with books, Lord of reckoning, Heaven and Hell, who dominates all creation. Peace and blessings be upon the intercessor of the Islamic Ummah and the witness over it in carrying the call to the rest of humanity, the master of creation Muhammad and upon his family and companions as a whole.

Today the anniversary of the demolition of the Khilafah (Caliphate) descends upon us once again, but this time it is turning its hundredth year that is why we must reexamine this century and see what occurred since the absence of the Khilafah.

These 100 years are two-sided. A dark sad side, and another bright and promising side that inspires hope to continue to strive and work.

The dark side of this era had two most prominent matters.

The first matter is the suspension of the rule of Islam, the Islamic Ummah and its lands had never abandoned the rule of Islam all at once, like what happened during this era. Today there is no longer any part of the world that rules by Islam, even though the Ummah has a population of two billion! Rather, the Muslims themselves in a period of this era, and due to the severity of their captivation with the kaffir West, began to compete to try different types of kufr rule themselves, forgetting that this West was the same kaffir colonizer who colluded against them and occupied their lands. And from the severity of this situation, of being distant from Allah’s Deen, that the rulings of Islam, after nearly forty years of demolishing the Khilafah, reached the brink of being tucked away and disappearing.

As for the second matter, it is the tragedies that the Islamic Ummah has experienced due to the absence of the Khilafah. In spite of the fact that the Ummah had suffered from many calamities in its earlier era, the absence of the Khilafah during the past 100 years has brought upon the Islamic Ummah more tragedies than ever before, uncomparable to the earlier era. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: «يُوشِكُ الْأُمَمُ أَنْ تَدَاعَى عَلَيْكُمْ كَمَا تَدَاعَى الْأَكَلَةُ إِلَى قَصْعَتِهَا» “The people will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their dish.”

The physical tragedies still continue and have not stopped, the blessed Al Aqsa is desecrated by the Jews, and the pure blood of the people of Iraq is still being shed for decades, Ash-Sham’s cities are crushed, its people are displaced, Yemen is destroyed, sick and hungry, Egypt’s mosques are demolished and its people spend their days between poverty and oppression, Libya is torn between the humiliation of the agents and fire of traitors, Sudan is poor despite its wealth, Burma torments Muslims under the world's hearing and sight, Russia and the rulers of Central Asia propped by Russia, continue to fight Islam and persecute Muslims, Kashmir is occupied by the Hindus and its people are abused, and India is mastering the humiliation of Muslims inside it, who are the inhabitants of the country, and communist China is trying to erase Islam from the minds of Uyghur Muslims by forcing them to commit forbidden actions. Afghanistan is being dragged into the humiliation of negotiations. Mali is slaughtered by France. In addition to other tragedies that befell the Muslims of the Philippines, Algeria, Bosnia, Chechnya, Palestine, Lebanon, Eritrea, Somalia, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Central Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, Liberia, Thailand, the land of Ethiopia and others since the Khilafah was destroyed. The abandonment of the Muslim armies to their Ummah added to the burden of these tragedies on the Ummah. The armies of Turkey, Pakistan, Egypt, Algeria, Iraq, Indonesia, the Hijaz, Syria and other Islamic armies have failed the people of the Islamic Ummah. All of them failed the Muslims in the most difficult circumstances, but rather expended their weapons, equipment and training to oppress the Muslims only.

As for the ethical tragedies, just before one ends the colonial kaffir West releases a new tool and revives a new tragedy. From the deception of Orientalism to the contempt of Islamic law, to the slander of terrorism, to the idea of ​​liberal Islam, to the democratic Islam project, to the phenomenon of Islamophobia. Until the attacks on Islam and Muslims, their beliefs, their laws and their Prophet have become popular in secular societies from its far east to the far west. From New Zealand, where Muslims are still harassed after their massacre, passing through the Arab Gulf countries, where the values ​​of Western civilization are imposed on Muslims, the process of normalization with the Jewish entity is not the last. Medina and Makkah, are besieged by the immorality of the General Entertainment Authority, reaching the countries of the kaffir colonial West, in which France leads them in campaigns to insult Islam and its Prophet and devise policies to persecute Muslims in their livelihood. And not forgetting the global Internet space, which is controlled by capitalist companies that took upon itself, on behalf of the governments of the colonial Kaffir West, the role to silence every page or account in which the Islamic intellectual leadership emerges. Likewise, when the Islamic Ummah needed its scholars, who are able to illuminate for their path for truth, when the West was spreading its poison and deviations, in those difficult moments, the scholars of the sultans, especially the leaders among them in the media platforms and those in charge of the scholarly and fatwa groups have let down the Ummah. Therefore they permitted usury, fighting in the armies of the kuffar, removing the headscarves, assimilating into Western civilization, and participating in the government of disbelief. Indeed, some of them fought the work to restore the rule of Islam, that disappointment has increased the ethical tragedy.

But Allah will Perfect His light

As for the promising bright side, it is that despite of all the strength and deception that the kaffir West has gathered against Islam and Muslims over the past 100 years, to prevent Islam from returning to life, Allah (swt) has disgraced them and established the sincere people in the Ummah and guided them to what pleases Him. The Dawah carriers have more resolve than the tyranny of colonial countries, stronger in belief than the enemies of Islam and oppressors, and are firmer than those whose hearts are diseased. They did not let the Ummah be snatched from their hands, and they continued to strive for its guidance and made enormous sacrifices for that. Many of them were martyred, and they were tortured and tormented in the corners of the earth, and they were expelled from their homes as the first Muslims were expelled. And since Allah’s pleasure was their aim and the rising response of the Ummah was their comfort, so they were firm and made their Ummah stand firm with them. And here we are today before an Ummah full of life and with sincere youth, realizing their Deen is the truth, and following the way to its unity. It is reassured by the Qur’an and Sunnah that Allah will restore its glory to open the lands and spread its civilization.

The Decline of Western Civilization Began

As for the colonial kaffir West, it has begun to decline, just as the socialist East has receded before. France declared the death of its mind when it began to turn against its political ideology to enact laws against Islam. The troupe of the European Union was exposed when it sang in its parliament to celebrate Britain’s secession from it. America amplified the atmosphere of discord among the countries of the West when it removed its mask and revealed its true face, and elected for itself a president who does not hesitate to declare the purely utilitarian goals of his country, and does not care about uttering rude words towards his allies. Thus, the largest country in the West gave up its role as a moral leader, but instead America became the main instigator of the ugly economic conflict among its countries.

Then Allah sent the Coronavirus to this world to strike the civilization of the West in the heart of what it sanctifies; the economy. The Coronavirus pandemic attacked the economies of capitalist systems more than it did in human bodies. The virus was in control over globalization. That greedy economic machine that capitalist regimes built in order to conquer world markets. The globalization machine prevented the doors from closing down to the virus. Countries have been reluctant to close their borders due to the pandemic for several months, until it was too late. And when they began to deal with the disease, Allah did not guide them to the correct approach to confronting the pandemic, as if they were driven to their destiny with their feet. Thus, the Coronavirus pandemic was an additional reason for the decline and division of the West. Because of it, the European Union countries began attacking and rerouting commercial convoys of some of them to seize medical materials. And because of it, too, the escalation of the conflict between capitalist companies in America over opening and closing the economy, and the dispute between them reached the presidential elections, dividing society in a fierce hostile division, reaching the point of Trump's supporters storming Capitol Hill, the largest stronghold of democracy in the world. Allah (swt) says:

[تَحْسَبُهُمْ جَمِيعًا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ شَتَّى]

“You think they are together, but their hearts are diverse.” [Al-Hashr: 14]. Allah (swt) says:

[لَوْ أَنفَقْتَ مَا فِي الأَرْضِ جَمِيعاً مَّا أَلَّفَتْ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَلَـكِنَّ اللّهَ أَلَّفَ بَيْنَهُمْ]

“If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have brought their hearts together;” [Al-Anfal: 63].

The Importance of the 100th Anniversary

The significance of the anniversary marking the demolition of the Khilafah this time is of two aspects, the first aspect is alarming and worrying, because reaching the 100^th year means that we have reached a century without the rule of Islam, so we fear that this generation of the Islamic Ummah is from the people of the former generations. And the people of the centuries [generations] are those who have been condemned by the Qur’an for their inability to establish the cause of Allah for centuries. Allah (swt) says:

[فَلَوْلاَ كَانَ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ أُوْلُواْ بَقِيَّةٍ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْفَسَادِ فِي الأَرْضِ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً مِّمَّنْ أَنجَيْنَا مِنْهُمْ وَاتَّبَعَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مَا أُتْرِفُواْ فِيهِ وَكَانُواْ مُجْرِمِينَ]

“So why were there not among the generations before you those of enduring discrimination forbidding corruption on earth - except a few of those We saved from among them? But those who wronged pursued what luxury they were given therein, and they were criminals.” [Hud: 116]. Allah (swt) says:

[وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُونَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُواْ وَجَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَمَا كَانُواْ لِيُؤْمِنُواْ كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ]

“And We had already destroyed generations before you when they wronged, and their messengers had come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe. Thus do We recompense the criminal people” [Yunus: 13].

As for the second aspect, it is that the Islamic Ummah has, during the past 100 years, tried all forms of government. It tried socialism, monarchy, dictatorship, nationalism, Baathism, patriotism, democracy, federalism, parliamentarism, presidentialism, and sectarianism. It has tried them all in their two forms, pure secularism and encrusted with Islam. Then after trying all these forms of ruling systems, they fell one by one. The Arab Spring was the biggest “wedding party” to topple them down on the street by the masses of the Islamic Ummah, until the chant of "the people want to overthrow the regime" became the nightmare of the major regimes and states.

Yes, the Ummah has tried all forms of government except ruling by pure Islam as brought by our Master Muhammad (saw) and as it was implemented by the honorable Companions without additions or omissions.

For these two reasons, and on the 100th anniversary of the demolition of the Khilafah, we invite the Islamic Ummah with all its members, groups, circles, activities, personalities, people of power and protection in it. This year, we invite you all to work with Hizb ut Tahrir under the leadership of the eminent scholar Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah, may Allah protect him, without delay or hesitation to stop the series of tragedies and establish the second Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: «ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةٌ عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ»“Then there will be Khilafah on the method of Prophethood.”
