Given the Spread of Homosexuality and the Culture of Promiscuity, Criminal Networks Target Children in Lebanon
(Translated)
Lebanon was shaken by the news of the exposure of the deviant criminal network (the TikTok gang) that lures minors and children, assaults and rapes them, and trafficks them in debauched mass parties! According to security information, the number of minor victims of this network may reach dozens, and the details of the crime are still being published in chapters, with names that are considered known and famous in the world of social media, in addition to other names that are still being kept concealed. This criminal network is not the first of its kind and will not be the last in light of the spread of the culture of depravity and homosexuality in our country. In 2016, Lebanon also woke up to a scandal similar to this one, with its exploitation and ugliness, as the security services stopped the largest network for sexual exploitation and human trafficking, known as the Chez Maurice network, which detained about 75 girls from Lebanon and Syria for many years aiming to traffick them. From 2016 until 2024, the trial sessions in the Chez Maurice case are still in their early stages in the Criminal Court as a result of the strike in the judicial sector and also the fragility of this sector due to political interference in it.
According to figures from the Hemaya Organization, about 1,932 children in Lebanon were exposed to violence from the period extending from January to September in the year 2023. Sexual exploitation crimes, especially against children, are one of several problems that have demonstrated the moral decay and corruption of societal values in Lebanon, where alcohol and drug addiction, prostitution, suicide, corruption, child rape, and other tragedies are devastating this and other capitalist societies of the 21st century. This corrupt and corrupting capitalist system has not only destroyed childhood, but also destroyed all of humanity. Anyone who looks at the reality of our societies today sees the extent of the challenges and dangers that we suffer from at various levels due to the introduction of Western ideas and the influence of dangerous concepts on our life’s behavior, which has resulted in a painful reality, in fact, a serious crisis and a real challenge facing the components of our Islamic country. Our situation is summed up in the noble verse:
[وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكاً وَنَحْشُرُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَعْمَى]
But whoever turns away from My Reminder will certainly have a miserable life, then We will raise them up blind on the Day of Judgment.” [Taha 20:124].
This situation is due to the separation of religion from life, that is, the abolition of man’s need for religion and divine laws, and his complete separation from them under the pretext of modernity and freedoms. The result was the confusion, loss, and spread of spiritual emptiness, boredom, frustration, depression, loss, and suicide among children and youth, not only in Lebanon but in the entire world.
The crime of human trafficking occupies the third place in the global trafficking that generates huge profits around the world, as it is surpassed by the arms trade, followed by the drug trade. The United Nations estimates the number of victims of human trafficking around the world at about 27.6 million people.
The large number of these crimes and the high number of victims prove to us the failure of international conventions on the rights of the child, which were not promoted in our country and were not imposed on our societies except to spread immorality and vice in the absence of a deterrent penal law. So, the calamity spread, generations were lost, and even all human rights were lost. Here is the United Nations and its affiliates, such as UNICEF, far from caring for children except within the framework of “formalities, donations, volunteer work, and a World Children’s Day, and let us not forget its mention of annual statistics.”
Talking about “children’s rights” must take into consideration a serious search for provisions and laws that guarantee every child on the face of the earth to live a dignified life, allowing no room for a child to be left to threats or to suffer. Such rulings and laws will not be produced by the human mind, but rather they are legal rulings determined by the Creator of man, the universe, and life, guaranteeing every human being his rights, whether he is an adult or a child, male or female. The Creator Alone knows His creation and is aware of what they need and what they will benefit from. Allah Almighty said:
[أَلا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ]
“How could He not know His Own creation? For He ˹alone˺ is the Most Subtle, All-Aware.” [Al-Mulk 67:14]. One of the most important rights of the child is the existence of a state that preserves his rights and protects him in a way that pleases Allah, takes care of his affairs, meets his necessary, moral and material needs, and medical services, and provides him with an atmosphere of faith that prevents him from disintegration and loss. In the face of all these tragic facts that we have mentioned, we cannot help but sound the alarm and announce the alarm as families and guardians in the first place and as Dawah carriers for diligent action in combating all the corrupt concepts and destructive ideas that affect the first and most important building block of our societies, which is the family, according to what the best of Allah’s creation, peace be upon him said:
"Surely! Everyone of you is a guardian and is responsible for his charges: The Imam (ruler) of the people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects; a man is the guardian of his family (household) and is responsible for his subjects; a woman is the guardian of her husband's home and of his children and is responsible for them.” He (saw) used to encourage his companions (ra) by saying: «ارْجِعُوا إِلَى أَهْلِيكُمْ فَأَقِيمُوا فِيهِمْ وَعَلِّمُوهُمْ» “Go back to your family, stay with them, and teach them (beliefs and practices of Islam) and exhort them to good.”
It is your duty, parents, to pay attention and be alert to what your children see and to the sites they visit on the Internet and the aimless chat sites that waste time with no benefit at all and arm them with the weapon of the correct, strong, and established Islamic Aqeedah (doctrine) that makes them distinguish between what is permissible and what is forbidden, and which builds in them the distinctive Islamic character. Allah (swt) says in His Decisive Revelation:
[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَاراً وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ عَلَيْهَا مَلَائِكَةٌ غِلَاظٌ شِدَادٌ لَا يَعْصُونَ اللهَ مَا أَمَرَهُمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ]
"O believers! Protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, overseen by formidable and severe angels, who never disobey whatever Allah orders—always doing as commanded." [At-Tahrim 66:6].
