The Endless Slaughter of the Women and Children of Gaza will Never End until the Guardian and Shield of the Ummah, the Khilafah, is Re-established

One year has passed since the latest campaign of mass slaughter of the people of Gaza at the hands of the murderous Jewish entity began, with over 41,000 martyrs. This bloodthirsty onslaught has made no distinction between man, woman, child or infant in its attack, for 70% of those killed are women and children. According to Oxfam, more women and children have been killed in Gaza by the Zionist military in a single year than the equivalent period of any other conflict over the past 2 decades. Over 25,000 children in Gaza have lost one or both parents over the past year to this war, and at least 3000 children have lost limbs due to the relentless bombardment (according to Al Jazeera). UNRWA has reported that every day 10 children in Gaza are losing one or both legs on average, making this the biggest cohort of child amputees in history, many performed without anaesthesia.

All this is in addition to the continuing famine, deaths from starvation, lack of clean water, deprivation of health care and the spread of deadly infectious diseases, resulting from the brutal blockade on the Strip and decimation of water supplies, food distribution systems, and hospitals - that have affected in particular -the women and children of Gaza. The Lancet medical journal stated in July that fatalities from this assault on Gaza could reach as high as 180,000 if indirect deaths due to starvation, lack of health care and destruction of civilian infrastructure critical for survival is taken into account. Save the Children have stated that nearly 90% of school buildings in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed. The clear aim of all this is to destroy any possible future for the children of Gaza and generations to come.

This is a year that has shown once again the impotency of the current world order, and its governments, the UN and every international court and institution to protect the oppressed Muslims against their oppressor. The Jewish entity has crossed every red line, broken every taboo and violated every humanitarian principle and law, yet there is no state that has the political will to stop this relentless slaughter. The western powers have brazenly demonstrated their willingness to allow the criminal occupation to execute its campaign of ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians with impunity, and indeed aided its genocide with no qualms – providing it with unconditional financial and political support no matter the depths of depravity it engages in. In August, the Biden administration approved an additional $20 billion in weapons sales to the Jewish entity to help fund this mass slaughter and brutal occupation. Meanwhile, the Western-implanted and Western-backed rulers and regimes of the Muslim lands have once again shown that their allegiance lies with their Western masters and their Jewish colony – continuing their diplomatic, economic, and normalization relationship with the occupation, even allowing their military bases, airspace and intelligence to be used to defend the Jewish entity from harm, as with Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

What further proof is needed to see that there is no leadership, no state, no ruler today who sincerely stands for the Muslims and is willing to use its army to defend their blood?!! What more do we need to witness to understand that an army will not be mobilized to liberate Palestine without the establishment of the state that rules by Islam alone, is a defender of the Deen, and is obliged to be the guardian and shield of the Ummah?!! That state is the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly based Caliphate) based upon the method of the Prophethood - the System of Allah (swt). Therefore, ending this genocide requires more than condemning the killing and making dua. It requires for us to work for the urgent establishment of the Khilafah which our Deen has defined as the vehicle to protect and liberate our Ummah and its lands. This includes urging those in the Muslim armies to give their Nussrah (material support) for the establishment of this state, that will mobilise them to uproot this cancerous occupation from every inch of Palestine, and establish the authority of Islam over this blessed land once again, and with it ensure protection, dignity and security for all who live under its rule! The Prophet (saw) said: «إِنَّمَا الْإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ يُقَاتَلُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَيُتَّقَى بِهِ»“Only the Imam (the Khalifah) is a shield, behind whom you fight and you protect yourself with.”
