The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) said in a report released on Friday 19/1/2018 that 270 children were killed in Iraq last year because of the war waged by the Iraqi government on ISIS. The war also caused the displacement of 1.3 million children among the 2.6 million displaced as a result of the war which lasted three years.

The charity, Médecins Frontiéres, reported that more than half of the girls in the Rohingya refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh that it has treated after sexual assaults and rape in Myanmar are under 18, and some are under 10.

On Sunday 17th September, the aid agency Save the Children warned that Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh could die due to lack of food, shelter, and basic hygiene supplies. Over 410,000 Rohingya Muslims have fled Myanmar to Bangladesh since August 25th due to the genocide campaign being waged by the Burmese army.
