With What Crime are the Noble Women of Iraq Arrested and Tortured?
(Translated)

Human Rights Watch Organization said in a report published on 05/02/2014 CE titled "No One is Safe: Abuses of Women in Iraq's Criminal Justice System", that thousands of Iraqi women are illegally detained and subjected to torture and other forms of abuses, including sexual assault. The organization reported eye witness accounts of women in detention who were subjected to different types of abuses during the detention periods, which have been extended without charge. According to the report, prisoners reported being beaten, kicked, slapped, electrocuted, raped, and others were threatened with sexual assault, sometimes in front of male relatives. According to Human Rights Watch, these women were arrested either in order to extract information about suspected male relative's activities, or for claiming that they support the insurgents, and not because of the crimes that they have committed.

This report confirms that the suffering experienced by Iraqi women under Saddam and under U.S. occupation of Iraq continues. Episodes of murder, detention, torture, violation of honour, insecurity, and political repression... did not stop during the reign of al-Maliki, the creation of the United States and servant to its interests, but instead it has escalated. Maliki, who pays lip service to justice, dignity and human rights, has destroyed justice and subjected all his opponents to different colours of humiliation, prosecution, and physical assassinations by the hands of his cronies and his security agencies, he also built new prisons over what was present during the days of the former regime.

What women in Iraq face in the prisons of al-Maliki is a heinous crime contrary to all human norms, laws and morals. O President of the State of law, which law allows the detention of women and subjects them to forms of abuse and torture without having committed a crime but merely because their relatives oppose the regime? Or do you believe that these arrests are a step on the road to political reforms that you have promised? Or do you think that the arrest of women and violation of their honour will bring security and eliminate terrorism?

This tragic situation of women inside and outside prisons in Iraq exposes the fallacies of freedom and democracy; that America came to propagate in Iraq and Afghanistan, it only left behind destruction and criminal governments that abused people and facilitated the plunder of the country's wealth country to the greedy.

O Muslim sisters: The Khilafah "Caliphate" alone is capable of ending your suffering under these oppressive man-made regimes, and will provide protection and care for you and your children, and will ensure the provision of basic needs and luxury for you and your children if you do not have a breadwinner or the breadwinner can not provide the duty of maintenance. The Khilafah "Caliphate" alone will elevate your status and grants you the political and economic participation. The Khilafah "Caliphate" will mobilise the armies to punish all those who violated any Muslim woman's honour or insulted her, following the steps of Al-Mutassim.

O Muslims, O Muslim armies: Do you accept that your honour is violated and your women detained? Is there no Mu'tasm who answers the cries of vulnerable women in Iraq and Ash-Sham, and in all the Muslim lands? We urge you to support the oppressed sisters, we urge you to support Hizb ut Tahrir to establish the State of Justice, the Khilafah "Caliphate", the only state that stands by the oppressed and protects the women, and protects and guards the sanctities and honour. By giving support to Hizb ut Tahrir in order to establish the Khilafah "Caliphate", you shall taste the glory in this world and the Hereafter, by the permission of Allah (swt).

(يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ)

"O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered" [Al-Anfal: 24]
