This is Not How the Role of Al-Azhar Should Be, O Azhar Scholars! Your Role is to Revive the Ummah and its Armies to Support the People of Gaza and Liberate Palestine
(Translated)

Al-Azhar issued a statement yesterday, on Saturday, November 18, 2023, condemning the massacres in the Fakhoura and Tal al-Zaatar schools. The statement criticizes the silence of the world and the Arab and Islamic Ummah, who have not offered anything to stand before Allah. Al-Azhar extends condolences to the people of Palestine, saying to them: Do not despair, for your revenge is with Allah, the Almighty and the Unconquerable. It calls on the free people of the world to unite against the terrorism of the Zionists and those who support them, and the silence of the international community and the indifference of those near and far, urging them to exert all possible pressure to stop this black aggression that targets innocent Palestinian children, women, elders, and youth. Expose their crimes, massacres, and ongoing atrocities against the innocent Palestinians.

The world is not silent about what is happening to our people in Gaza; rather, the international community is a supporting partner to the Jews in their crime against the Ummah. The Islamic Ummah, helpless and powerless, is shackled by systems that protect and guard this usurping entity, preventing the Ummah from rising up in anger against its crimes. Our rulers are the guardians of this entity and partners in its crime, so how can you expect them to present anything that stands before Allah, and what are you waiting for from them?

The only action that truly stands before Allah is the removal of borders and mobilizing the armies to liberate the entire Blessed Land of Palestine and support our people there. This involves uprooting this deformed entity and all its supporters, and this can only happen under the Dawlah (state) of Islam; the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood.

The duty of Al-Azhar with its scholars and leaders is not merely condemning the actions of the Jews or addressing the free people of the world who have little influence. Rather, their discourse should be directed towards the armies of the Muslim Ummah to fulfil the obligation of jihad, liberate the usurped land of Islam, support our oppressed people in Gaza and all of Palestine, and remove anything that hinders them from fulfilling this duty.

[وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آوَوا وَّنَصَرُوا أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ حَقًّا لَّهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ]

“And those who believed after [the initial emigration] and emigrated and fought with you - they are of you. But those of [blood] relationship are more entitled [to inheritance] in the decree of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of all things.” [Al-Anfal:75].
