Press Release
What Did You Leave for the People After the Loaf of Bread?!
Maintain your Support and Restore People's Rights
(Translated)

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, announced the increase of the subsidized bread price from 5 piasters to 20 piasters starting from next June. Madbouly added in the press conference held today that the cost of a loaf of bread to the state reaches 125 piasters, but it was sold for only 5 piasters, thus the state bears a subsidy cost of 120 billion pounds. (Masrawy, 29/5/2024)

There is nothing left but the loaf of bread with which the regime lashes the backs of the people! The issue is not just the corruption of the regime, administrative incompetence, and failure in governance, but rather a deliberate intent to starve and squeeze the people, so they keep chasing after their daily bread without finding it. Achieving this goal is what makes the regime, in its view, safe from the people's anger, who long to sink their teeth into the minds of this regime and its symbols, especially with the increasing files of corruption, betrayal, failure, and negligence of all the people's interests and sanctities. The Gaza issue is not the only one that has raised people's temperatures to boiling point, almost causing them to explode in the face of the regime. It is the thousandth issue proving the necessity and inevitability of the regime's departure and its overthrow.

The loaf of bread is the last refuge for the poor after the regime's policies have made them poorer. The regime did not stop at increasing electricity, gas, and other fuel prices, which naturally leads to price increases due to inflation and under the influence of devaluation. Now the regime's hand has reached in to the food of the poor, who find nothing but bread!

The regime does not truly subsidize bread or anything else. Instead, it is the people who support the regime with the taxes they are forcibly collected, which exceed 85% of the state's budget. The regime neglects the country's land and wealth, giving them away to the West for nothing. Oil and gas companies, mining contracts with secret clauses that no one can access or challenge, witness this deliberate negligence, and burden Egypt and its people with the cost of this negligence, even obliging them to protect the looters and enable them to seize the stolen goods without any disturbances.

The people of Egypt do not need the regime's support, which it boasts of and which has no value or benefit after waves of inflation that have devoured them. Instead, they need their rights, which are being squandered. Let the regime return these rights to the people and keep its support for itself, and stop taking the people's money through taxes, which have become the regime's main source of income, from which it derives the support it boasts about to the people.

Where are the people's rights to gas, oil, gold, and other abundant resources that are sufficient for all Egyptians to live in prosperity if these resources were not looted and were distributed fairly? Egypt, in fact, and within the boundaries of the Sykes-Picot Agreement, has enough wealth and resources to make it independent from the West, its loans, and its investments. This potential could make Egypt a great power, if not the leading state, if it had free will and sincere management to harness and properly utilize these resources. Egypt has vast arable lands that are unused and could be cultivated to produce wheat instead of importing it, as well as many other crops to meet people's needs. Additionally, there are extensive water surfaces suitable for fishing, covering more than 11 million feddans, providing an advantage for related industries. Utilizing these land and water resources would also employ the idle youth, whom the regime views as a population burden consuming its purported development efforts, while it is actually the regime that wastes these energies! Moreover, according to the Cabinet's data, Egypt's daily production of oil and gas is 1.73 million barrels, and its annual gold production is about 15.8 tons, most of which comes from the Sukari Mine in the Eastern Desert. Egypt has about 270 gold sites, including 120 sites and mines where gold was historically extracted, with the Sukari Mine being the largest and most famous in Egypt. (Al Arabiya)

Egypt has a unique diversity of resources, along with human resources capable of generating wealth from these resources. What Egypt needs is a management system focused on caring for the people, not extorting their money, preserving their rights, and enabling them to benefit from these resources instead of squandering them and enabling the West to plunder them. This is impossible under the capitalist system that the regime governs with. Egypt needs a system whose goal is to care for the people and guarantee their rights, with laws that ensure this and hold rulers accountable for any negligence. This is only found in Islam and its system, with its binding Shariah laws for both the ruler and the ruled, guaranteeing people's rights and preventing any hand from reaching them. It provides the best care without burdening people with taxes or deceiving them with superficial support, giving them their due rights without expecting gratitude because these rights are mandated by Shariah, which obligates the state to provide them. The only solution for Egypt is Islam, its system, its Dawlah (State) and the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood.

O Soldiers of Kinana, the Best Soldiers: What happens to the people of Egypt affects you as well, and you are not immune to it. The regime's grants and privileges are mere bribery to silence you on its crimes, making you a heavy stick to beat those who revolt against its disastrous decisions and their resulting poverty. These privileges, ranks, and salaries will not benefit you, neither in this world nor the hereafter. What benefits you is siding with the oppressed people of Egypt who, if not for their written sustenance, would starve under the regime's decisions and policies. Stand with your people who are being crushed by the regime, support their weakness, remove the regime's yoke from your necks, and declare a righteous anger for Allah's sake to uproot it and restore Egypt's glory under Islam and its Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood.

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ]

“O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life.” [Surat Al-Anfal:24]
