Congratulations on the Arrival of the Blessed Month of Ramadan

To Muslims in Egypt and Everywhere:

Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

It is our pleasure in Hizb utTahrir / Wilayah Egypt to extend our heartfelt congratulations on the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan, a month of goodness and blessings, fasting and prayer, the Quran and forgiveness. We ask Allah Almighty to accept our fasting and prayers, and to make it a month of goodness and blessings for the entire Islamic Ummah.

Ramadan is a month of honor and dignity, a month of victories recorded by Muslims, from the great Battle of Badr to the conquest of Mecca, and to the Ummah’s triumphs over its enemies throughout history. It is not a month of submission and weakness but a month of piety and striving to uphold the word of Allah on earth.

O Muslims in the Land of the Kinanah:

We in Hizb utTahrir are aware that you are experiencing difficult circumstances, as corrupt regimes continue to control the Ummah’s resources, enforcing policies that serve their interests and those of their Western masters, at the expense of Egypt and its people. However, we remind you that hope remains alive and will never be lost, and that victory is near, by Allah’s will, if we hold firmly to our deen and work towards restoring the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) that will govern us by what Allah has revealed.

Ramadan is an opportunity to draw closer to Allah through acts of obedience, to unite the ranks of the Ummah, and to reject all forms of division and dependence on either the West or the East. Let us be the united Ummah that Allah has commanded us to be, upholding the truth and striving to establish the justice of Islam for oppressed peoples, especially our brothers and sisters in Palestine, who continue to suffer under the tyranny of the Jews.

We ask Allah Almighty to help us in fasting and prayer during this blessed month, to accept our deeds, and to bring it back upon us and the Islamic Ummah with goodness and blessings, and with the liberation of our lands from all forms of oppression and tyranny, by establishing the Islamic state, The Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood.

May Allah accept our righteous deeds and yours. You are the people of goodness every year. May you always be well.
