"Khilafah "Caliphate" State as the True Shield for Mothers and Children"

From Abu Hurairah said that the Prophet Muhammad (saw) said:

«إِنَّمَا الْإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ يُقَاتَلُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَيُتَّقَى بِه»

"Indeed, al-imam (state) is the shield, where (people) will fight support and shelter (of the enemy) with (power) it." (HR. Bukhari Muslim)

Islam has set the state functions as a protective shield for the people. The state should be in the forefront and become the main actor to provide protection from all forms of injustice and realizing the ultimate protection of all dangers. State functions as a shield have been shown by the political institutions of Islam in the Islamic caliphate. History records that under the Islamic government throughout the 13th century, people lived in prosperity and were protected from various threats. Mothers carry out their significant roles as a generator for noble generations and the children receive their rights completely.

After the absence of the caliphate, the Muslim people lost their shield. The state is no longer in the front to protect, but it is absent and its people are being exploited. Democratic state has failed to protect the people and continues to produce a variety of problems. Mothers and children who are supposed to be protected, instead are being sacrificed in its economic, political and cultural system. Look at the women economic empowerment program and the achievement of gender equality which are the 'prescription’ from the UN. This program will not ever solve women’s problems. On contrary it is a form of systematic exploitation and affects the dysfunction of motherhood. Similarly the curriculum of Reproductive Health and the law of chemical castration for pedophiles would not stop violence against children when the secular media and the principle of behaviour freedom are protected and even legalized, however spreading the vices of pornography and violence. Even the discourse of the Elimination of Sexual Violence Bill will only affirm that the state has failed to provide a solution, and its policies did not move from adopting global conventions to only producing infertile regulation. Then where is the state functions as a protective shield?

For anyone who craves the return of a state to serve as a shield and yearn for a prosperous life in the shadow of Allah’s blessings, together with Muslimah Hizb ut Tahrir Indonesia stated:

1. The only system able to function as truly shield for mothers and children is Khilafah "Caliphate" Islamiyah upon the method of the Prophethood. Only the Khilafah "Caliphate" is capable of providing protection from misleading international programs and removing destructive media. Similarly Khilafah "Caliphate" is the only system that gives a respectable status to women in society and guarantees them to perform basic functions like educating successive generations who will become guardians of a noble civilization.

2. Every Muslim should be convinced by faith that Islam is the only system capable of solving human problems without causing harm or new problems for anyone else. The Islamic system has described in detail how to manage all aspects of human life to manifest protection, prosperity and harmony.

3. All parties of the community are committed to improve the conditions of self and family without leaving an earnest effort to get involved in solving the problems of the nation through the efforts of the struggle to reestablish Islamic caliphate.

In order to build public awareness of the root causes and solutions to the chronic problems of mothers and children, Muslimah Hizb ut Tahrir Indonesia hold Mothers of the Archipelago Congress (KIN) 3 in more than 50 cities throughout Indonesia at the range 19 to 26 December 2015. The Congress will gather more than 30 thousand mothers of intellectuals, mubalighah, Islamic communities, activists of NGOs and political organizations and other prominent females. The discussion in the congress in addition to being critical and corrective for policy makers, is also expected to boost the spirit of women in particular to join Islamic activities to uphold Islam and the Khilafah "Caliphate" Islamiyah system upon the method of the Prophethood which will end the violence, and realize the true protection, welfare and empowerment. Remember the words of Allah Almighty:

[قُلْ يَا قَوْمِ اعْمَلُواْ عَلَى مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّي عَامِلٌ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَن تَكُونُ لَهُ عَاقِبَةُ الدِّارِ إِنَّهُ لاَ يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ]

“Say, "O my people, work according to your position; [for] indeed, I am working. And you are going to know who will have succession in the home. Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed.” [al-An'am: 135]
