Press Release
By Laws Proposed by the Mayor of Nairobi is to Continue Social Cliff in the Society
The party of Hizb ut-Tahrir East Africa strongly comndems the stand of the mayor of the city Nairobi who wants to adopt by laws that will allow the commercial sex workers running their prostitution. This step will not help the prostitutes economically as the mayor claims but it will put them into another storm which include the transmission of Aids epidemic that risks the lives of the people globally,an increase of the street children who seem to cause panick to city dwellers.
We understand that many of the sex workers /prostitutes do this evil business and yet they know its negative impact and that is contrary to the values religion, but they are driven by the vicious poverty that the government remains reluctant to solve this problem.
Lastly, We Hizb say; the existence of commercial sex is totally illegal. We further understand this kind of business and others are marketed by the western values and ideas of democracy and freedom which the western nations market them as redemption for mankind. The fact is that these western calls are the prime source of moral degradation in the society and has turned a woman to be a sexual commodity. Therefore we would like to advice the Kenyan public not to fall captives of the western thoughts rather we urge them to submit to teachings of Islam that glorified mankind and make him live with better principles in his entire life.
