What was done to Ustadh Ponda Issa is an Injustice to Muslims and We Strongly Condemn It

Hizb ut Tahrir / East Africa strongly condemns the act of injustice, brutality and barbarism injuring Ustadh Ponda Issa through a gun shot while returning from an Islamic seminar. This injustice is done while in Zanzibar, some Muslims are in jail unjustly, the government interfering in running of mosques through control and spying, suppressing and harassing of dawah carriers on a daily basis etc.

For this act, Tanzania seems to follow in the footsteps of Kenya by killing Islamic dawah carriers as what has happened to Aboud Rogo, Samir Khan, etc. after Kenya failed to counter them through compelling evidence.

Either with this act, Tanzania fools itself by creating fear for Muslims to stop propagating their Deen. It also seems it is setting a trap to create an environment to harm Muslims yet the scars of many previous damages like the one of Mwembechai Mosque and that of Pemba have not yet healed.

This act is among many that scorns the lies of ‘Good governance' and ‘Equality before the law' slogans. Such slogans are empty talk without any truth especially for Muslims. Who does not see how the government is distraught when a Christian leader is harmed, even though from the lower ranks?  Or who does not see how the government of Tanzania is preoccupied with the recent scalding with acid of two young ladies from Britain? However, the government is not seen to care about the issue of Ustadh Ponda which was committed by the police.

Hizb ut Tahrir / East Africa clearly states that such injustice and many others that are meted on Muslims in the world will never be forgotten. When the Islamic state of Khilafah "Caliphate" will be established, whereby its return is certain, they will be dealt with accordingly.
