King Charles III has begun a four-day tour in the former colony, Kenya. This is the first visit of the monarch since the coronation to any of the British colonies. The visit comes when torture, killings and widespread expropriation of land much of which still belongs to British nationals and companies dominate Kenya’s public opinion.
In this regard, we highlight the following:
Britain as a colonial master with cunning political maneuverings, formally colonized Kenya physically and directly hence, torture and killings were means to put inline the subjects to their rule. Currently, Capitalism enables the British political power to dominate subject’s nations, including Kenya, through the operations of international corporations rather than by means of direct rule. Furthermore, the British used the vile and destructive idea of Colonialism to implement its foreign policy and secure its political and economic interests in Palestine. A legacy that has witnessed human carnage executed by Jewish entity with full support from US and UK.
As for high expectations of Kenyans that UK’s Government regrets and compensations of the abuses as a manifestation of true liberation from clutches of colonialism is none other than a mere illusion. The fact is British foreign policy is based on economic imperialism and colonization. The institutions such as Oxfam, Commonwealth and UKAid literally rampage their way through to the ‘third world’ and follow a neo-colonialist model, setting up offices, earning large salaries and acting, as one anonymous informant for the colonial master.
We maintain this visit is to consolidate further the British colonial influence in a country whose recent history has witnessed Anglo-American struggle manifested through the ruling regimes and the political oppositions. In the height of colonial rivalry between (US and UK), Kenya finds itself handy in colonial agendas such as ‘war on terror’ deploying its forces in Somalia, DRC and of recent Haiti.
Ultimately the colonial meddling in Kenya and Africa at large has created more miseries and turmoil. It’s only with the removal of the colonial influence and the return of the Khilafah (Caliphate) State that security and prosperity will return for the global south.
