Assassination of Four Muslims is Evidence that the ‘War on Terror' in Kenya has Gained Momentum

Hizb ut Tahrir / East Africa is saddened by the brutal killing of four Muslim brothers which occurred on the night of Thursday 03/09/2013 on the Mombasa - Malindi road. We condemn in the strongest terms this brutality which has demonstrated cowardice and lack of ideas by the killers. We offer our heartfelt condolences to the families of the late and we pray to Allah Ta'ala to give them patience during this period of grief, to forgive and have mercy on the dead. The killings have opened the wound for Muslims in Kenya after the assassination of several Muslim preachers last year. We call upon Human Rights organizations to stand up and oppose these injustices.

Certainly, this is an injustice to Kenyan Muslims but the greatest injustice is the move by the government to hoodwink Muslims that it is conducting investigations and set up a commission to investigate the killings. As usual, it hits a dead end!! This shows that the government does not care about the security of Muslims in the country and the lives of most preachers are in danger. It is clear that these killings are directly related to the ‘war on terror' which was brought to Kenya at the instigation of America. Since the Communist ideology has no chance of returning into the world, the biggest fear of America is the return of Islam to lead the world. This is the reason America started the war on Islam and Muslims in the world and labeled them as ‘radicals' and ‘terrorists'. Certainly, Islam is far off from such labels as it was revealed to the world to spread mercy to all mankind. Allah Ta'ala says:

[وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ]

"We did not send you but as a mercy to all creations." [Al-Anbiya: 107]

We would like to remind Muslims in Kenya that much as this brutality is visited upon us, it should not lead us into calling to Islam in the wrong manner but we should emulate the Prophet (saw) in how he preached Islam in Makkah intellectually i.e. criticize the false ideology of ignorance and show the clear and true thought of Islam. The Prophet (saw) exposed the plots of the evil rulers and opposed their evil ways. Despite encountering all manner of sufferings, the Prophet (saw) and his companions did not use violence until he secured support (nusrah) from the people of Madina and succeeded in establishing Islam. This is the way we in Hizb ut Tahrir follow. Since the world is currently ruled by the evil ideology of Capitalism which has failed to solve world problems, we are working to show the falsehood of the thoughts of this ideology and expose the plots by the enemies of Islam. This is to build a general opinion and clear understanding of Islam without using force. Thereafter, it is to seek support from countries where Muslims have the means of power with the sole purpose of establishing the Islamic state which will implement the Islamic ideology as a complete way of life and spread peace to mankind.
