The Storming by Police of Masjid Musa is a Violation of Basic Muslim Rights!

The Islamic movement of Hizb ut Tahrir in East Africa condemns in the strongest terms the illegal action by police units in Masjid Musa Majengo in Mombasa and attacking worshippers with bullets. We are saddened by this evil act that led to the murder of some Muslims and injury to many others while some are in custody. We pray to Allah (swt) to have mercy on those killed and give patience to the families affected by the calamity.

Thereafter, we wish to state the following:

There is no legality whatsoever for the police to surround a mosque and rain bullets on worshippers congregating in the house of Allah on the allegation that it is a terrorist conference that endangers security. A question to ask is why is it when Christian preachers spoke openly requesting the government to arm church officials with AK-47 rifles, nothing was done or even to somehow call them terrorists or fundamentalists? Why were the statements that were widely carried out by news outlets never regarded as a threat to security? Slogans like ‘extremism', ‘terrorism' and ‘fundamentalism' are a campaign to malign Islam led by America in the whole world with the objective of blocking the return of Islam to lead the world as it was before during the implementation by the Khilafah "Caliphate" State. Since there is clear evidence of failure of its Capitalist ideology in the whole world including Kenya to an extent of causing hunger, diseases and wars, America is horrified by Islam and uses such slogans as a means to discredit it. If these slogans have any real meaning, then America deserves to be branded with them and the world will have no fear with that.

The act of besieging a mosque for three hours and humiliating Muslims is oppression and a violation of Muslim rights in Kenya and reveals the folly of democratic slogans that citizens have freedom of worship and expression.

In conclusion, it is important for Muslims to be wary of entering into enemy traps whenever they encounter such problems. Our responsibility is not to start a blame game or hate one another. This is the moment to call to Islam without emotions and in its true form so that non-Muslims get to see and understand that only Islam is the best ideology offering real solutions when implemented in a Khilafah "Caliphate" State.
