Websites of Hizb ut Tahrir Blocked: Desperate Steps by the Government and Religious Authorities to Prevent Da’wah and Efforts to Re-establish the Khilafah "Caliphate" by Hizb ut Tahrir

Since yesterday (17/01/2017), the Hizb ut Tahrir Malaysia (HTM) website at URL https://hizbut-tahrir.org.my and the blog of Muslimah Hizb ut Tahrir / Malaysia at URL http://fikratulummah.blogspot.my cannot be accessed via the main Internet Service Providers (ISP), TMNet, a wholly owned subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia. In addition to the both websites, the websites of Hizb ut Tahrir / Indonesia, Hizb ut Tahrir / Britain, Hizb ut Tahrir / America, Hizb ut Tahrir / Australia, Hizb ut Tahrir / Scandinavia, Hizb ut Tahrir / Pakistan, Hizb ut Tahrir / Palestine and many more are also blocked. In addition, the website of the Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir at URL http://www.hizb-ut-tahrir.info/en and other websites associated with Hizb ut Tahrir such as http://www.khilafah.com, http://www.al-aqsa.org and http://www.al-waie.org are also blocked in Malaysia.

The notice on the website of HTM stated that “Access to this site has been denied under Section 263 (2) Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 as it violates the Malaysian law under the provisions of Section 16 Enactment of Shariah Offences in Selangor 1995 in which the Enforcement Agency is the Selangor Islamic Department.” In some of the Hizb ut Tahrir websites, there are similar notices, but under Section 62 Enactment of Shariah Offences in Malacca 1991 in which the Enforcement Agency is the Malacca Islamic Religious Department. Section 16 provides the offences of publishing any form of documents contrary to Hukm Shara’ (Islamic Law), while Section 62 provides the offences of mocking, ridiculing and/or deriding the religion of Islam. Subhanallah! What kind of fabrication and defamation are the authorities implicating on Hizb ut Tahrir? We would like to ask and assert the religious authorities to prove where and what are the content of the blocked websites of Hizb ut Tahrir that violates the Hukm Shara’, mocking, ridiculing and/or deriding the religion of Islam as per your allegations!?

We ask and challenge you once again, please prove your allegations, and do not just simply use your powers to fabricate and defame and prevent the efforts of Hizb ut Tahrir in establishing the Deen of Allah!

After issuing an edict (fatwa) defaming Hizb ut Tahrir and hanging of the malign banners and billboards in many mosques and in the streets, the religious authorities in Selangor is now using the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia in an effort to prevent the da’wah of Hizb ut Tahrir in the internet. Now it seems that the religious authorities of Malacca and the Federal Government are also involved. It seems that they are no longer afraid of Allah (swt) by continuously spreading lies on earth and struggle intensely to prevent the da’wah and noble efforts of Hizb ut Tahrir in re-establishing the Khilafah "Caliphate". As a matter of fact, the blocked websites of Hizb ut Tahrir consist of the worldwide activities of Hizb ut Tahrir, clear Islamic thoughts and thaqafah (culture), in-depth political analysis, comment of current issues, etc. all of which are in line with Hukm Shara’. These sites also disclose the agenda and wicked plans of the Kuffar West against the Muslim Ummah, the conspiracies of the Muslim rulers with the West, betrayal of the secular rulers on the Ummah and many more. Are the government and religious authorities afraid of all these so much so that the websites of Hizb ut Tahrir are blocked? And this is so while at the same time, pornographic and morally destructive websites, gambling and usurious banking sites, websites promoting the ideas of nationalism, websites promoting secular and liberal ideas and various other illicit websites that truly violate the Hukm Shara’, are allowed access!

We would like to remind the religious authorities and the Federal Government that with the short-lived power in your hand, you can block our websites, you can also block all our activities, you can defame us, and you can announce to the whole world to boycott us, but you will never be able to block the Islamic ideology that we carry and we strive upon, as you will most definitely never be able to block the return of the Khilafah "Caliphate" (Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood that Hizb ut Tahrir is working on.

We would like to remind you that the Prophet (saw) and his companions had also been vilified and their activities had been curtailed and boycotted by the Kuffar Quraish, but none of it prevented them from upholding the Deen of Allah and the Islamic State was finally established by the will of Allah (swt). Indeed, they are our role model in this da’wah and the Islamic State which establishment we are working on, will stand soon with the permission of Allah (swt). What we regret most is that, at the time of the Prophet (saw), the da’wah was impeded by the disbelievers, but nowadays it is impeded by the Muslims, and even by those who are working in the Islamic religious department itself! Take notice that we remind you of this because we want only khair (goodness) for you, for if we want evil for you, we would just ignore these acts that will drag you to the Hellfire and not remind you of them. So take heed of this reminder seriously and unblock all our websites. Let us all strive to become the pillars and carriers of Allah’s Deen, rather than obstructers who will only invite the wrath of Allah (swt)!
