Press Release
Army's Secret Agency Abducted and Tortured a Member of Hizb in Islamabad
Dr. Abdul Qayyum has been languishing in government thugs' torture cell for the last six months.
The only political party within the Ummah that is struggling for the establishment of Khilafah "Caliphate" and eradication of the colonialist system, Hizb ut-Tahrir has been making sacrifices in Pakistan today, as it is nobly done so elsewhere in the past. Recently, ISI abducted a member of Hizb ut-Tahrir Azam Khan from outside a mosque and tortured him severely. His so-called crime was that he is struggling against the capitalist colonialist system and presenting Islam as an alternative system. Hizb ut Tahrir condemns this cowardly act emphatically. Azam Khan gained his Masters in Computer Science from Quaid-e-Azam University and is working in a software house in a prominent post. These government thugs tortured the member of Hizb so severely that his shoulder tendons and ligaments were damaged so badly that it will take at least six weeks to recover. After torturing him they encouraged him to leave Hizb. These intelligence officers have forgotten that the Qur'aysh of Makkah tortured the Sahaba in order to prevent them from spreading Islamic dawah and the establishment of Islam, but they failed miserably. Even today, intelligence officers of non-Muslim or Muslim countries, including Pakistan, have neither been able to break the resolve of the members of Hizb nor have they been able to create any obstacle in the Hizb ut Tahrir's way. We want to tell these intelligence officers and Kayani and Gilani that Khilafah "Caliphate" will be established however much they and their masters hate it, and they should know that the Ummah is waking and the Ummah has started taking her Sultan (the authority) back. So their fate that will be similar to the fate of Mubarak and Qadhafi is very near and it is only a matter of time. Also, the thugs who implement their master's wishes should know that their fate is no deferent from the fate of Qadhafi's thugs and their fate in the hereafter is much worse;
(103) Say: "Shall We tell you the greatest losers in respect of (their) deeds'' (104) "Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life while they thought that they were acquiring good by their deeds.'' (105) "They are those who deny the Ayat of their Lord and the meeting with Him. So their works are in vain, and on the Day of Resurrection, We shall assign no weight for them.''
In addition, member of Hizb ut Tahrir, Dr. Abdul Qayyum of Rahim Yar Khan has remained in abduction for the last six months. The so-called independent judiciary knows this fact but has been unable to order the arrest of intelligence officers, even though members of Hizb released after similar abductions framed these agencies in their affidavits for their illegal abductions. Tomorrow, 19 January, a meeting of the judicial commission is going to take place in Lahore and it remains to be seen after this meeting whether yet again the judiciary takes the side of abductors or takes some practical step in order to end the abduction of Dr. Abdul Qayyum.
Hizb ut Tahrir has made a pledge with Allah, Muhammd (s.a.w) and the Ummah that she will not be negligent in the struggle for the implementation of Islam through the Khilafah "Caliphate", no matter how many sacrifices have to be made. Alhamdulillah the last sixty years of Hizb ut Tahrir's struggle has been a glittering example of this resolve.
