Hizb ut Tahrir held a seminar in Lahore entitled 'New Leadership, New System'

Hundreds of people attended Hizb ut-Tahrir's seminar at Lahore entitled ‘New Leadership, New System'. Seminar was addressed by Hizb's members Mr. Saad Rehman Jagranvi and Dr. Iftikhar along with Hizb's spokesman Mr. Naveed Butt. Mr. Jagravi strongly criticized Pakistani involvement in the ongoing America's war against Islam and asserted that America is terrified from the growing influence of Islam in the region and this is one of the major reasons of her offensive in Afghanistan. He said that the treacherous rulers are the ones who are not only guarantying American security and their protection but also actively fighting their own Muslim brothers and killing them. He said the only way out from this unjust war is to get rid of these rulers and establish the Khilafah "Caliphate". Dr. Iftikhar in his speech on the economic crisis of Pakistan said that its main cause has been following IMF policies for the last few decades and unfortunately Pakistan is knocking their doors once again. He said that no matter whether it is the policy of privatization of National assets or the plan for imposition of GST on common man, all of this originates from the policies dictated by the IMF and this is what has crippled our economy. He said that the recent electricity crisis was actually a product of the privatization policy in which the IPPs (Independent Power Projects) were actually created as a result of privatization of power infrastructure, refused to produce electricity causing tremendous losses to the industrial sector. Reminding the huge natural resources and potential of Pakistan, Dr. Iftikhar told the audience that Hizb ut-Tahrir by establishing the Khilafah "Caliphate" will implement the Islamic economic system and not only regain the economic sovereignty but would also make it one of the strongest economies of the world. The spokesman of Hizb ut-Tahrir, Mr. Naveed Butt, in his speech highlighted the failure of the current political leadership and presented Hizb as the alternative leadership. He said that Hizb ut-Tahrir has emerged as the largest political party in the world, working in more than 40 countries and operating under a single leader. Hizb never compromised on its agenda or showed weakness even under immense pressure and brutality of the agent Muslim rulers. He said in the shape of Hizb ut-Tahrir, the Ummah has the required sincere leadership in its midst which not only has in-depth knowledge of the Islamic system but also possesses the political awareness and insight in the world affairs. He said that the time has come that the people of power, fulfilling their responsibility, provide Nusrah (material support) to the Hizb so that Islam may be implemented and the Ummah should be unified under a single leadership. After the speeches a question and answer session was also conducted.
