"Kidnapper" Regime Sinks to New Low Level in its Suppression of Islam, Seizing the Ill from Outside Hospital!

The "Kidnapper" Raheel-Nawaz regime sunk even deeper in its suppression of Islam when on 26 May 2015, its thugs seized a Shab of Hizb ut Tahrir outside Ghurki Hospital in Lahore, where he was seeking treatment for a severe disease of the gut. Dr. Iftikhar had left work as a lecturer at Dhuhr, arriving for an appointment at Ghurki Hospital shortly after, when the regime thugs seized him, after a struggle which was witnessed and prompted concerned calls to alert his family. Dr. Iftikhar suffers from ulcerative colitis, which has led to severe blood loss and weakness. He has been taking strong medicine, so that he can function day to day, including daily oral steroids and more recently Cyclosporin A, a strong immuno-suppressant. He has to undergo regular review by a surgeon because persistent poor health may require surgery to remove some of his gutat any time.

Dr. Iftikhar is a medical doctor himself, a graduate of Rawalpindi Medical College, has been a registrar in adult medicine in Ghurki Hospital and now has a teaching post at the Lahore Medical and Dental College. Despite severe and prolonged illness, Dr. Iftikhar continued marching in strong strides in carrying the call for the return of the Khilafah "Caliphate" to Pakistan. He is well-respected for his wide and deep knowledge of Islam and loved for his deep caring for the Ummah, humbleness, forthright manner and pure sincerity.

Hizb ut Tahrir strongly condemns the "kidnapper" regime for its seizure of an ill man, outside hospital, as it confirms its contempt for all Islamic values, including mercy to the ill and the weak. It demands from the regime the immediate release of this good and respected Muslim, knowing full well that the regime has previously used sleep-deprivation, beating and electrocution against the Shabaab of Hizb ut Tahrir. And it holds the regime fully responsible for any harm to Dr. Iftikhar, whilst comforted both by the knowledge that the courts of the coming Khilafah "Caliphate" will not spare any of those responsible, inshaaAllah, and that above all else, Allah (swt) will punish those who harm the righteous. Allah (swt) said in the Hadeeth Qudsi,

«مَنْ عَادَى لِي وَلِيًّا فَقَدْ آذَنْتُهُ بِالْحَرْبِ»

“Whoever harms my Wali I declare war against him.” [Bukhari].

Hizb ut Tahrir asks the officers in Pakistan's armed forces: is it not clear enough that the regime is meek and cowardly before the American enemy, seeking glory and honor from them, but fierce against the believers, trampling Islam and all that it holds high under its feet? Is it not time to seize the heavy hand of the regime against those who strive in calling for the implementation of the Deen of Allah (swt) as a way of life? End this gross injustice by granting Nussrah to Hizb ut Tahrir, under its Ameer, the eminent statesman and profound jurist, Sheikh Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rasthah, for the return of Khilafah "Caliphate" to Pakistan.

[وَمَا نَقَمُوا مِنْهُمْ إِلاَّ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ]

“And they resented them only because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy.” [Al-Buruj: 8]
