Who Celebrates the Anniversary of Isra and Mi’raj?
(Translated)

Muslims commemorate the anniversary of Isra and Mi’raj, reciting the Ayah (verse):

[سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي أَسْرَى بِعَبْدِهِ لَيْلاً مِّنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الْأَقْصَى الَّذِي بَارَكْنَا حَوْلَهُ لِنُرِيَهُ مِنْ آيَاتِنَا إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ]

Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.” [Surat Al-Isra:1]. This Ayah and miracle established Al-Aqsa Mosque as a central part of the Muslim Aqeedah (doctrine).

The Muslim Ummah observes this anniversary while Al-Aqsa Mosque remains a sorrowful captive, bound under the grip of the vilest of creation, desecrated morning and evening. Its people are prevented from bowing and prostrating in worship within its walls.

The Ummah marks this occasion as the surroundings of Al-Aqsa are stained with the blood of Al-Shuhadaa Al-Mujahedeen (martyred fighters), children, women, and elders. Its homes are draped in the blackness of destruction, displacement, hunger, and fear.

The Ummah observes this anniversary as the people of Gaza count over 60,000 martyrs and hundreds of thousands of injured, with tens of thousands of homes destroyed, victims of the cowardice of Jews.

The Ummah commemorates while the residents of Jenin Refugee Camp are displaced from their camp, reliving the displacement of their ancestors in 1948. This displacement mirrors the plight of Gaza's people under bombardment, destruction, and killing, embodying the tragedy of the Palestinian people who have been abandoned to Jews for nearly eighty years.

The Ummah observes this anniversary while Trump threatens to expel the remaining residents of the West Bank and Gaza to Jordan and Egypt, and the response remains limited to condemnation and rejection of the "alternative homeland" proposal, rather than action for liberation!

The Muslim world’s regimes call for commemorating this anniversary, even as they have recognized the existence of the entity desecrating the blessed land of Isra and Mi’raj. They stood by, witnessing rivers of Palestinian blood flow, the bombing that reduced homes to rubble, and the destruction that devastated neighborhoods, crops, and generations. They watched as terror gripped the old and young, as hunger unlike any other took hold, and as cold froze limbs and hearts. These rulers have condemned themselves as partners in the killing through their aid to the oppressors, their betrayal, and their prevention of the capable from helping their brothers and liberating the Prophet’s sanctity (saw) from the impurity of those upon whom wrath has descended!

Al-Aqsa Mosque, its surroundings, and its people are not asking for mere commemorations that ignite a spark of jihad in one’s heart, but for those who rise to its liberation. They do not call for oil to light its lamps when it is shrouded in the darkness of captivity and its courtyards are overshadowed by the words of kufr (disbelief).

Al-Aqsa Mosque, its surroundings, and its people are not awaiting circles of remembrance from Muslims. They are waiting for divisions, brigades, and armies that remember Allah as they enter it as liberators, cleansing it as Salah al-Din did during similar days.

Al-Aqsa Mosque, its surroundings, and its people are not saved by tears, elegies, commemorations, food, or drink. They are saved only by those who read,

[سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي أَسْرَى[ “Exalted is He who took” [Surat Al-Isra:1] who follow the example of the one Allah took on that night journey, and emulate those who received the keys to the Land of Isra, as well as those who liberated Al-Aqsa Mosque. Only those who call, act, and move for the liberation of the Blessed Land have the right to celebrate this anniversary.
