Re: Correction of Error reported in your Leading Newspaper
(Translated)

On Sunday 1st of Muharram 1438 AH corresponding to 02/10/2016, in your prominent newspaper, Issue No. 7936, (page 3) the title read: “Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan Criticizes Switching the Sentence of the Married Adulterer - Abu Khalil: Amending of the Shariah Laws must be through the Consensus of the Ummah and not by a Political Decision”.

There is no issue with the first part of the title, whereas the second part consists of words attributed to me by either error or confusion. The main speaker at the forum was Br. Mohammad Jami’, Assistant Spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah of Sudan. He also did not make such a statement, because it contradicts the ideas and concepts of Islam; the Islamic laws do not change, not through the consensus of the Ummah, nor otherwise, every rule is proven by Shariah evidence, from the Book of Allah (swt) and the Sunnah of His Messenger (saw). Shariah does not permit that it is altered, rather it should be adhered to, due to Allah’s (swt) saying:

(وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَلا مُؤْمِنَةٍ إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمْرًا أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُمُ الْخِيَرَةُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ وَمَنْ يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلالا مُبِينًا)

“It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error” [Al-Ahzab: 36]

It seems that Sister Hanan was confused due to the comments from the audience at the forum, who represented different ideological and political schools, and perhaps attributed some of the ideas expressed to Hizb ut Tahrir.
