Press Release
The Government Arrests Tens of Hizb ut Tahrir Members In Response to Carrying out their Shar'i Right of Peaceful Expression!
(Translated)

Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan carried out two protests today, Tuesday 25 Dhul Qi'ddah 1434 AH corresponding to 1st of October 2013 CE, in objection to the arrests carried out by the Government of some members of the Hizb, following the distribution of the fuel leaflet issued by the Hizb entitled: "The Rise in Fuel Prices is a Step to Crush the Ordinary People and Creates More Poor".

The first protest took place in front of the National Intelligence Security Service (NISS) building and the second was in front of the Kalakla Police Station, where the NISS snatched the signs made out of cloths in a provoking manner from the Shabab who were abiding by the Shar'i rule of not undertaking any material actions.

Following that the NISS arrested some of our brothers from the leadership of Hizb ut Tahrir and they are:

1. Ibrahim Othman (Abu Khalil) - Official Spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan

2. Abdul Rahman Sa'd - Member of the Media Office

3. Isaam Ateem - Coordinator of the Central Contacts Committee

All of these brothers remain in custody.

As for the second protest, it took place in front of the Kalakla Police Station. It went according to plan. When the Shabab were making their way back, their buses were obstructed by security forces vehicles and tens of the members of Hizb ut Tahrir were arrested.
They are all still under arrest.

We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan want to clarify the following points:

• Hizb ut Tahrir will continue its work to change the regime and establish the Khilafah "Caliphate" ar-Rashida upon the method of the Prophethood which is the guarantee to the implementation of the Islamic System and its rules to seek Allah's Pleasure. They (the current regimes) are the reason for the settlement of the misguidance and adversity that we live under.

Allah (swt) says:

( فَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ هُدَايَ فَلا يَضِلُّ وَلا يَشْقَى )

"Then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray [in the world] nor suffer [in the Hereafter]" [Ta-Ha: 123]

• The work of Hizb ut Tahrir is a political and intellectual work following the example of the Prophet (saw). Material action is not from the method of the Prophet (saw) to bring about change.

• We confirm the Shar'i duty that belongs to our Ummah that is linked to the demand of implementation of the Islamic rule and changing the system through peaceful means.

• The government must stop what it is doing and take heed from others who were far more powerful, repressive and oppressive and yet they ended up in an abysmal path, being hideous and cursed.

• The government does not adhere to the Shar' rules nor their manmade constitution rules (which divided the country) that speaks of the right to peaceful expression. Allah (swt) says:

(لِمَ تَقُولُونَ مَا لا تَفْعَلُونَ * كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَنْ تَقُولُوا مَا لا تَفْعَلُونَ)

"Why do you say what you do not do? Great is hatred in the sight of Allah that you say what you do not do." [As-Saff: 2-3]

Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan will continue to enjoin in the good and forbid the evil, working for change to establish the Khilafah "Caliphate" ar-Rashida upon the method of the Prophethood, even if the Kuffar and their agents detest it.

(وَسَيَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَيَّ مُنْقَلَبٍ يَنْقَلِبُونَ)

"And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they be returned" [Ash-Shu'ara: 227]
