The Darfur Problem will not be Resolved Except on the Basis of Islam
(Translated)

A delegation from Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan in the city of Nyala (the metropolis of the South Darfur state) met with Brother Idam Abdul-Rahman - the leader in the National Congress Party, and the former State Minister of Livestock, where the delegation under the leadership of Muhi ad-Deen Bukhari - a member of the leadership of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan, accompanied by the brothers Nasser ad-Deen Hijru, Head of the Central Contacts Committee of Activities in the city of Nyala, Brother Sheikh Muhammad al-Samani, member of Hizb ut Tahrir, and Mr. Adam Musa, member of Hizb ut Tahrir, Mr. Najem al-Deen Adam, member of Hizb ut Tahrir, Abdul Da'em Yahya, member of Hizb ut Tahrir, and Ibraheem Adam, member of Hizb ut Tahrir.

Discussion in this meeting centered on the Darfur problem and what the situation has turned into, and the method of resolving it and the way out of these problems, which take over each other.

In the beginning of the meeting Brother Idam spoke explaining the Darfur problem, clarifying its development since the era of Gaafar an-Nimeiry's rule in the seventies until the present day, and the solutions that were put forth during this period, and which were unable to put a stop to the Darfur problem.

Then Brother Muhi ad-Deen al-Bukhari spoke about how the people of Darfur are Muslims, and that it is natural for them to resolve their issues on the basis of Islam, and the Darfur problem, and indeed of all Sudan's problems, cannot be resolved except by making the Islamic faith the basis of the resolution, which would please the Lord of the Worlds, and also please the people, because Allah's (swt) Laws are justice.

And in conclusion the delegation thanked Brother Idam, for his hospitality, and they all agreed to continue the dialogue...
