Press Release
Officials from Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan Respond to the Bashir's Dynamic Speech in a Prominent Political Seminar
(Translated)

Amid the presence of media, politicians and prominent persons, attendees flocked to the Grand Hall of the Martyr al-Zubayr Muhammad Saleh International Center for Conferences to take part in a political seminar held by Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan, on Saturday, 5 Jumada II 1435 AH corresponding to 5 April 2014 CE under the title: "Dialogue and the Political Issues in Sudan in Light of Islam [Freedom - Peace - Poverty]". Mr. Bashir Ahmad, Mr. An-Natheer Muhammad, and Mr. Sulayman al-Dasees, members of the Wilayah Sudan Committee, spoke at the seminar. Mr. al-Bashir began the dialogue about his trial that lead to the idea of Freedoms, raised in the President of the Republic's speech as a solution to the political crises that the country is experiencing. The speaker noted the birth of the idea of freedoms in the West during the Church's grip on the Western peoples in the Middle Ages; which oppressed the people in the name of God and the Church, and resulted in the presence of a current that rejected the grip of the Church. There was a bloody intellectual conflict between them lasting many years, and that was resolved with the complete exclusion of religion from politics, and the idea of the four freedoms was to reflect this idea practically; the freedom of religion, freedom of opinion, freedom of ownership and personal freedom.

In the conclusion of his speech, the speaker rationally illuminated the contradiction of the idea to reality and its disagreement with the laws of Islam according to the Shariah; being that it is incompatible with the concept of being a slave to Allah (swt) considered as the core of religion.

Speaker Mr. An-Natheer Muhammad Hussein followed with the presentation of a paper. He argued one of the pillars of the President of the Republic's speech proposed before the political scene, addressing the idea of peace and referring to the series of negotiation rounds that Sudan has become famous for and that Sudan has been characterized by for the past decades; beginning with the Round Table Conference in 1965 CE, to the Koka Dam Conference, and recently the Doha and Addis Ababa Negotiations, bearing points on the following truths:

1. Adopting the principle of sitting with and negotiating with anyone who holds arms to demand political objectives is considered a major crime against the rights of the Ummah and a betrayal, and making the rebel gangs in the place of heroes and conquerors is the greatest crime and a major betrayal.

2. The idea of national dialogue is based on the doctrine of compromise, which absolutely does not produce correct solutions as long as the conflicting parties operate from different perspectives and work towards a middle ground. This means that all of them will surrender part of their position for the sake of agreement to produce a compromise, and this is invalid rationally and according to the Shari'ah.

3. The political environment in Sudan has a bad model for the farce of dialogue and negotiations. That so-called model is Nevasha, which led to the separation of South Sudan from its North and prepared the remainder of the country for the project of fragmentation.

Afterwards the speaker concluded his speech explaining the obligatory nature of referring to the great Islam and of upholding the association of Islamic brotherhood and perfecting the tending to the affairs of the people and the implementation of the Shari' penalties that enforce the authority of the state and provide the security that everyone seeks.

Finally, Mr. Sulayman al-Dasees spoke of the topic of poverty, presenting the numbers in the state of hunger and poverty that plague the people. He pointed out a number of reasons that caused the impoverishment of the country and the people, such as:

1. The direct and indirect taxes and the unlawful collection of funds that takes place according to the secular law.

2. The neglect of the agricultural sector and the destruction of productive projects.

3. The prevalence of structural, managerial, and financial corruption.

The speaker detailed the issue of financial corruption, indicating the scale of the funds looted in a legal manner according to the Capitalist system that legitimizes the laws and systems to illicitly collect the funds of the people, which is the base of the problem and the disease. The speaker also explained the presence of corrupt people, giving examples of this. In conclusion, al-Dasees presented a number of solutions adopted by Hizb ut Tahrir, calling the audience to embrace them and put them into practice in the Islamic State, the Righteous Khilafah "Caliphate".

It is worth mentioning that the interactive audience session conducted by the seminar presenter saw a number of comments and questions were characterized by enthusiasm and inspiration that caused the audience to interact with Takbeer and acclamation.

Following the conclusion of the seminar a large number of attendees gathered around the speakers inquiring about and encouraging these Shabab officials, whom they described as enlightened leadership.
