Open Letter From Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan
to the Government of Jordan Is a Muslim's Attendance of an Intellectual Political Conference Reason for his Arrest and Submission to Trial?!

Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah Sudan held on 4th Rajab 1435 AH corresponding to May 3rd, 2014 CE, an international conference titled: "Lifeline: A Sincere Islamic Vision of the Proper Treatment for Sudan's Crises without the Arab Spring Setbacks". In which it researched the issues of Muslims on the basis of the Islamic Aqeeda (There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah (saw)), and what emanates from this doctrine of the Shari' provisions that came through revelation. The conference was open to the public, where invitations were sent to attend the conference to various countries of the world considering that these issues are of interest to all Muslims, and not only to the people of Sudan. Brother Medhat Mahmoud Jibreen Marar, from Jordan, was among those who answered the invitation and took his visa from the Sudanese Embassy in Amman based on the invitation. The embassy placed on the visa it printed on his passport that his sponsor was Hizb ut Tahrir.

After attending the conference and returning to his country (Jordan) at Amman airport, they saw Hizb ut Tahrir on the visa in his passport, and therefore he was arrested for submission to the court!

We are in Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah Sudan wonder:

Does attending a conference that researches the issues of the Ummah and seeks to find solutions on the basis of the Islamic Aqeedah constitute a crime and accordingly a Muslim is arrested and taken to the courts?!

Are those who seek to unite the Ummah and gather its word in obedience to the command of Allah Almighty who says:

(وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلا تَفَرَّقُوا)

"And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided." [Al-i-Imran: 103]

considered as criminals and consequently detained and brought to court?!

Has working for Islam and carrying its Dawah and calling for the arbitration of its rulings through the intellectual and political way become incriminating work?! Is simply attending an Islamic conference now a crime?!

Dealing with Hizb ut Tahrir; the sincere party to its Ummah, which carries the call to Islam, following the example of the Prophet (saw); dealing with it as a security file, with detention, torture, trials and others for more than six decades, has not and will not produce anything. And here is Hizb ut Tahrir operating in more than forty countries around the world!!

The likes of Brother Medhat Mahmoud Jibreen Marar must be honored and not to be insulted with arrest and surrender to the courts. Because they are carrying the concerns of this Ummah which when it distanced from its Islam with the demolition of the Khilafah "Caliphate" it has been humiliated and trivialized, and provoked them even the Jews who occupied the blessed and purified land of Palestine!.

We are in Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah Sudan demand from the Jordanian government:

The release of Brother Medhat Mahmoud Jibreen Marar immediately.

The Jordanian government should remember that what is has done is to repel the path of Allah and fight Islam and its Dawah carriers. Allah Almighty says:

(وَلا تَقْعُدُوا بِكُلِّ صِرَاطٍ تُوعِدُونَ وَتَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِهِ وَتَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا)

"And do not sit on every path, threatening and averting from the way of Allah those who believe in Him, seeking to make it [seem] deviant." [Al-A'raf: 86]
