Press Release
Hizb ut Tahrir Works for the Implementation of the Islamic Shariah
Is this considered to be a Charge?!!!
(Translated)
In response to the statement of Kamal Al-Jundubi in which he sought to justify the banning of the conference of Hizb ut Tahrir set to be held on Saturday the 4th of June 2016 in the Conferences Palace in the capital when he stated: “The slogan of the conference and its direct relationship to the blindly zealous Takfiri thought which all Islamic terrorist groups adopt” according to his statement, explaining that: “Providing permission for the organisation of this conference acts as an affirmation to the legitimacy of the demand for the establishment of the rule of the Khilafah "Caliphate" and additionally it would represent a breach to the rulings of the constitution that state the structure of the Tunisian civil state and its political system: “Tunisia is a free independent state, Islam is its religion, Arabic is its language and its system is republican”…”
In response, we state:
1 – Hizb ut Tahrir has no connection to the organisations that follow the violent method to establish the Islamic state which did not even exist when the party was formed in 1953 CE, in order to resume the Islamic life, in conformity to the methodology of the Messenger (saw) by the political struggle and the political struggle, without resorting to the material action. The history of the party is the best witness to this truth in the case where its Da’wah has spread from the East of the Islamic world to its West and from its North to its South.
2 – The demand for the establishment of the Khilafah "Caliphate" state (Caliphate) is an obligation that the Islamic legislation has made obligatory as has been indicated to by the definite evidences from the Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah. No significance is given to the voices of every Tom, Dick and Harry who insist upon promoting the statements of the orientalists that Islam is only a priestly and spiritual religion that does not have a political system or state system within it.
3 – The legal (Islamic) legitimacy of the work for the application of the Shariah of Allah does not a permission or licence from the secular regime established upon the principle of the separation of the Deen from the life and upon the principle of subservience to the western colonialism. That colonialism that seeks to plunder our natural resources, control our land and drag us within the framework of the materialistic and benefit driven western civilisation.
4 – We are a people whom Allah has honoured with Islam and sufficient a favour and blessing that is. We are an Ummah that Allah (swt) has honoured us to be the best Ummah to have been raised up for mankind and to be witnesses over mankind by conveying to them the Islamic Da’wah. That is just like our predecessors did before like the generation of ‘Uqbah Bin Naafi’ (ra) who led the armies of the Muslims to spread Islam in the North of Africa and Andalusia.
5 – As for his argument about the Tunisian constitution by saying that it is the highest and nothing comes above it. Then this represents a weak and absurd argument and that is because the constitution that Al-Jundubi relies upon is a man-made constitution that contradicts itself. How can it mention that the Deen of Tunisia is Islam and then contradict itself by prohibiting Islam and criminalising those working in accordance to Islam?! As for the republican system then it is a system that contradicts Islam completely which makes the Muslims free from the requirement to follow it and that is because it is Islam and the rulings of Islam which are the highest and nothing comes above it.
“They wish to put out the light of Allah with their mouths but Allah will complete His Light even though the disbelievers hate it” [As-Saff: 8].
