Regarding the Ongoing Confrontations in the Town of Douz
(Translated)

A dispute broke out between Arshai Al-Qal’ah an Al-Abaadilah Mu’tamadiya Douz in the Kebili governorate about a week ago and it involved heated exchanges with stones and hard materials, insults and foul language, the use of hunting rifles that left behind injuries by the spray and two young men were killed. That is in addition to the damage of some public and private properties…

In the aftermath of these painful events we express our discontentment at the preoccupation of our people in the South away from confronting the companies plundering our resources by engaging in these confrontations that bring tears to the eye and sadness to the heart.

We remind our people in Douz that the Prophet (saw) has warned us from fighting amongst ourselves and for there to be dispute and division for the sake of the Dunyaa and its adornments. Ibn ‘Umar (ra) related from the Prophet (saw):

«وَيْلَكُمْ أَوْ وَيْحَكُمْ، لا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقابَ بَعْض»

“Woe to you, do not return back after me to being disbelievers where some of you strike the necks of others from you” (Agreed upon). The blood of the Muslim has a great sanctity that is even greater than the sanctity of the blessed Ka’bah. That is due to what was mentioned in the honourable Hadeeth from Abdullah Ibn ‘Umar who said:

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَطُوفُ بِالْكَعْبَةِ وَيَقُولُ مَا أَطْيَبَكِ وَأَطْيَبَ رِيحَكِ مَا أَعْظَمَكِ وَأَعْظَمَ حُرْمَتَكِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَحُرْمَةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ أَعْظَمُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ حُرْمَةً مِنْكِ مَالِهِ وَدَمِهِ وَأَنْ نَظُنَّ بِهِ إِلَّا خَيْرًا»

“I saw the Messenger of Allah (saw) making Tawaaf around the Ka’bah and saying. How good you are and how good is your fragrance, and how great you and how great is your sanctity, and (I swear) by the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the sanctity of the believer is greater with Allah than your sanctity; his property and blood, and that we think of him only with goodness” (Ibn Maajah).

For this reason, every Muslim must make this a major issue and to never whatsoever participate in the fighting of Fitnah (strife) and to protect his Deen from the blood and close the door to it whilst entrusting his matter to Allah.

O our people in Tunisia and particularly O our people in Al-Qal’ah and Al-Abaadilah,

We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Tunisia direct to you, within the blessed month of Ramadan, the month of Al-Qur’an, to cast away the differences amongst you and to return to being brothers who have love and mercy for one another. That is because Allah, in this blessed month, descends the mercy, makes the sins fall, looks to your competition (in good deeds) and shows pride in you with His angels. So show Allah goodness from yourselves for verily the miserable, every miserable, is the one who is deprived of the mercy of Allah.
