The Campaign of the Secular Regime in Tunisia Against a Party for Girls for Wearing the Khimar
The Sky is Wanted when it is Hidden!
(Translated)

Following the circulation of pictures of a special celebration on the online networking sites showing girls wearing the Khimar (headscarf), the secularists in Tunisia, including media professionals, organizations and associations, revolted and they aired television and media programs and issued condemnatory statements, taking advantage of the opportunity to strike the Quranic associations targeted by them.

Although the representative of Child Protection in Monastir stated that the matter does not go beyond the family celebration, this did not prevent him from contacting the families to investigate the reality of the girls and their relationship with their parents, given that Tunisian law protects the child from exposure to ideas of intolerance and extremism! In a clear indication that adherence to the provisions of Islam, including wearing the Khimar, is a form of religious extremism.

We, in the Women's Section of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Tunisia:

1- We remind the Westernized secularists who are enemies of the identity that Tunisians are proud of their Islam and adhere to it despite the woes they suffered under the regimes of Bourguiba and Ben Ali, who fought the religion and harassed Muslim women for wearing the Khimar. However, they did not succeed in obliterating the Islamic Aqeedah and adhering to it, so the dictatorships vanished, and the creed remained like a blessed tree whose roots are deep in the ground, alive in the souls of people, who have been holding fast to the Islamic Sharia, neither arguing with their Lord about it nor disagreeing with its rulings.

2- We show that responding to Allah’s rulings and raising our sons and daughters according to Islam is an obligation and it is an integral part of the Islamic Aqeedah, and the rule of the Khimar is clear in how and when it becomes obligatory according to Allah Almighty’s saying:

[وَقُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ]

“And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests” [An-Nur: 31].

And the saying of the Messenger of Allah (saw):

«يَا أَسْمَاءُ، إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْمَحِيضَ لَمْ يَصْلُحْ أَنْ يُرَى مِنْهَا إِلَّا هَذَا وَهَذَا – وَأَشَارَ إِلَى وَجْهِهِ وَكَفَّيْهِ»

“O Asmaa, When the woman reaches the age of menstruation she is not allowed to show (of her body) except this and this, and he pointed out to his face and his hands.”

3- We affirm that through the aforementioned positions, the secular regime has demonstrated the extent to which it is severed from the reality of the people in Tunisia and the extent to which it is linked to the global liberal system, which defines, besides Allah, the intellectual and moral concepts of right and wrong and then imposes them on humanity, including the Islamic countries, through its institutions and structures such as the United Nations and international organizations that spawn in our country, suspicious cells and media structures that are dependent on their decision and the editorial line. They do not mobilize and do not call up to struggle except for unjust issues that violate people’s rights and confiscate the provisions of their religion and culture, turning a blind eye to the real tragedies experienced by childhood in Tunisia from labor in cleaning homes and sexual harassment up to rape, beggary in the streets and the high dropout rate of education due to the systematic policy of impoverishment of capitalist colonialism in Tunisia, such as the lack of means of transportation and good infrastructure, and a severe shortage in the last ten years of educational frameworks whose mandate was suspended subject to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and at its will; as part of the terms of its cursed loans.

4- We warn of the danger of the secular system’s focus on monitoring Muslim families in how they deal with raising their sons and daughters. In fact, it is far from protecting children. Rather, it is a politicized act with distinction, driven by the Western mastermind who recruits the official authorities in the state to turn into Inquisition Courts, similar to what Macron does in France towards Muslim communities, which is another evidence of the extent to which the secular elites in Tunisia are linked to the racist Francophone culture.

5- We make it clear that these positions are a reflection of Tunisia’s involvement in the conspiracy to sign international agreements that we have warned a lot about in the women’s section of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Tunisia, such as CEDAW and the Istanbul Convention on women and children, especially girls, which force the signatory states to interfere in the values, customs and religious provisions that societies bear, that are not subject to the standards of liberal secular values.

6- We affirm the adherence of Muslim families to raising their daughters in accordance with the provisions of their Sharia in front of their response and their acceptance of the Khimar in an absolute rejection of the culture of feminists, founding the generation of victory and liberation, a generation that builds for the Ummah the state of Islam, the Khilafah Rashidah (righteous Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood.

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said:

«إنَّ اللَّه تَعَالَى فَرَضَ فَرائِضَ فَلاَ تُضَيِّعُوهَا، وحدَّ حُدُوداً فَلا تَعْتَدُوهَا، وحَرَّم أشْياءَ فَلا تَنْتَهِكُوها، وَسكَتَ عَنْ أشْياءَ رَحْمةً لَكُمْ غَيْرَ نِسْيانٍ فَلا تَبْحثُوا عَنْهَا»

“Verily Allah ta’ala has laid down religious obligations (fara’id), so do not neglect them; and He has set limits, so do not overstep them; and He has forbidden some things, so do not violate them; and He has remained silent about some things, out of compassion for you, not forgetfulness — so do not seek after them.”
