Mass Arrests Among the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir because of their Opposition to the Policy of Selling Tunisia to the International Monetary Fund!
(Translated)

Yesterday, Friday, November 11, 2022, a number of security forces arrested ten members of Hizb ut Tahrir, in the capital, in a brutal and violent manner, while they were delivering a speech in front of the Al-Fath Mosque in order to express the Hizb’s rejection to the policy of selling Tunisia to the International Monetary Fund pursued by the president’s government. These arrests provoked outrage among the public who were present, and the young men were later released after issuing a report for the purpose and handing over a summons to each of them on November 17, 2022.

We, in the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Tunisia, warn the regime against the repeated arrests of the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir, and we remind President Kais Saied, who came to power promising the people of Tunisia a cut with the service policy of foreign circles: Isn't it a shame that our Shabab are arrested while they enlighten the Ummah, and advise the government that the path to glory is not to follow colonial policies that were not satisfied with the looting of our country?!

We also remind the sons of the Ummah in the security services: How do you arrest someone who enlightens you of the cunning enemy who eats your children’s food and does not watch over in a protective manner?! Isn't it strange that you arrest those who reveal the facts and extend a sincere hand to you so that you do not fall into the traps of the IMF and its derivatives?!

We thank Allah that the ranks have separated and that the fig leaf that covered the regime's starkness has fallen, Allah (swt) says:

[مَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَذَرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى مَا أَنْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى يَمِيزَ الْخَبِيثَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبِ]

“Allah would not leave the believers in the condition you were in, until He distinguished the good from the evil ˹among you˺.[Aali Imran 3:179].

We thank Allah that we are on the anti-colonialist side and their supporters in our country. These arrests, desperate measures and relentless attempts to isolate Hizb ut Tahrir from the masses to prevent the arrival of his opinion which reveals the policy of mortgaging the country and the people to the International Monetary Fund and its derivatives, will only increase our determination to liberate Tunisia from Western domination and its local tools, and to work on restoring the Khilafah (Caliphate) based on Islam.
