Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Turkey Mourns Brother Fikret Tash, One of their Loyal Workers
(Translated)

Brother Fikret Tash, who we knew was a devoted Muslim who devoted his life towards the resumption of the Islamic life, passed away yesterday due to his illness, a brain tumor that afflicted him. (إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ) “We belong to Allah, and to him we will return.” [Al-Baqara: 156].

Brother Fikret Tash was one of the distinguished Shabab of Bursa. He carried the call with Hizb ut Tahrir in Bursa for thirteen years, and the people around him knew him for his honesty and humility, realizing that the Khilafah (Caliphate) would be through the resumption of the Islamic way of life and implementation of the rules of Allah’s law on earth; as a matter of death and life, and a fateful issue for all Muslims, so he worked for it, fought for the sake of establishing it, and vowed his life like all his fellow Shababs to call for the sake of the Islamic call, until the promise of Allah came and his soul returned to His Lord, the Most Gracious, Glory be to Him. He, may Allah (swt) have mercy on him, faced his illness and hemaplegia for months with patience, submission and reliance on Allah (swt). And he entered the intensive care unit again after a second brain haemorrhage. However, it was decreed that his appointed time determined by Allah was yesterday morning, where he submitted his soul back to its Creator. And we bear witness that his deeds were indeed in order to uphold the religion and word of Allah. Additionally Brother Fikret Tash was married and was a father of two sons.

And we in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Turkey, ask Allah Almighty to grant him His mercy, and to inspire his family with beautiful patience, consolation and solace to his relatives, loved ones and brothers in the call.

(مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ قَضَى نَحْبَهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَنْتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلاً)

“Among the believers are men who have proven true to what they pledged to Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their pledge with their lives others are waiting ˹their turn˺. They have never changed ˹their commitment˺ in the least.” [Al-Ahzab: 23]
