The Government of Aden is Not Concerned ... So Who Will Put an End to the Disaster of Oil Leakage in Shabwah?

On 9/12/2020, Al-Thawra Daily Newspaper published in Sana'a published a report supported by photos of the daily leakage of large quantities of crude oil for months past from the pipeline carrying crude from Sector 4 in the West Ayyad oil field to Al-Nashima Port on the Arabian Sea through Lahiya districts, Gail bin Habtoor, Timur in Shabwah province in central Yemen.

The oil leakage caused large stains resulting from the deterioration of the oil pipeline that was established in 1987, in addition to attacks aimed at stealing crude, while the oil company stands watching idly, it did not take any measures to prevent the leakage and remove the leakage due to its dangerous effects on humans, animals, plants, water and soil.

This is the result of the violations practiced by the Ministry of Oil in Yemen upon signing the agreements for exploration, extraction and sale of oil from Yemen's fields with foreign oil companies; the ministry not only acquired a share of more than 50% of the share of the partnership with the ministry from public ownership, but rather it overlooked the burning of associated gas oil and did not compile and liquefy it to benefit from it, and oil companies are not obligated to safety standards in getting rid of harmful and toxic drilling fluids, and they are not held accountable for burying drilling fluids near the surface of the earth, and thus their direct contamination of the surface and their harmful impact on the forms of life nearby. The violations of the Ministry of Oil reached the lack of obliging the oil-producing companies to deal with and treat any oil spills as they cause an environmental disaster, and to hold them responsible for removing the oil spilled quantities, and even to treating the conditions that will affect humans, animals and plants as a result of the massive oil leak. The effect of crude oil on life comes from its pollution of the layers that contain water, and thus it pollutes the wells that produce water from the polluted layers, causing tumors for humans, afflicting animals and destroying plants, as Allah (swt) says:

[وَإِذَا تَوَلَّى سَعَى فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيُفْسِدَ فِيهَا وَيُهْلِكَ الْحَرْثَ وَالنَّسْلَ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْفَسَادَ]

“And when he goes away, he strives throughout the land to cause corruption therein and destroy crops and animals. And Allah does not like corruption” [Al-Baqara: 205].

O People of Belief (Iman) and Wisdom (Hikma): Those who rule over you by force in Sana'a and Aden are incapable of taking care of you properly, let alone protect you from disasters. They rule over you with Capitalism that separates Deen from life and to pursue benefit, and not the rules of the Islamic creed, so why do you obey them, when they made you inherit woes and disasters?! The Messenger of Allah (saw) said:

«كَانَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ تَسُوسُهُمْ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ، كُلَّمَا هَلَكَ نَبِيٌّ خَلَفَهُ نَبِيٌّ، وَإِنَّهُ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي وَسَيَكُونُ خُلَفَاءُ فَيَكْثُرُونَ. قَالُوا فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا؟ قَالَ: فُوا بِبَيْعَةِ الْأَوَّلِ فَالْأَوَّلِ، أَعْطُوهُمْ حَقَّهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَائِلُهُمْ عَمَّا اسْتَرْعَاهُمْ»

“The Banu Isra’il were governed by the prophets, as often as one died another taking his place. There will be no prophet after me, but there will be numerous caliphs.” He was asked what command he had to give and replied, “Fulfil the oath of allegiance to each and give them their due for God will question them about what He asked them to guard.” (Agreed upon)

Work with Hizb ut Tahrir to establish the Khilafah state, which will protect public ownership and prevent its ownership by foreign oil companies. It will enable you to benefit from it, and prevent its damages on you through the implementation of the economic system in Islam within the rest of the political and social life systems, etc., in the second Khilafah Rashidah (rightly-guided Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said:

«ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةٌ عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ»

“Then there will be Khilafah on the method of Prophethood”.

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ]

“O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life.” [Al-Anfal: 24]
