November 20th, was established in 1954 by the United Nations, and celebrated each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children's welfare. However, the portrait of children across the world, and in particular in the Muslim world, proves anything else than togetherness, children’s rights and welfare.

A number of Arab states announced the undertaking of alterations and changes to their school curricula. From amongst these states infected by the changing of curricula this year were: Palestine, Algeria, Morocco and Jordan, whilst taking note that this is not the first time that these states have made alterations to their curricula.

Pakistan has been ranked the second worst country in the world for gender equality for the second year in a row. The World Economic Forum’s global gender gap ranked Pakistan at a dismal 143 with a 0.556 score.
