In a statement on Friday, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said there were about 1500 Pakistanis currently in Sudan, adding that the Pakistani embassy was in contact with them and providing them with all possible support. Two Muslim women were threatened with a gun in Kitchener, a city located west of Canada's largest city Toronto early Wednesday. According to a report by CTV News, the women said a stranger followed them with his car after morning prayers and pointed a gun at them.
