Since India revoked Kashmir's autonomy, the Kashmiris have not had a quiet sleep anymore. The Population is filled with anger, but their hands are tied. They are imprisoned in their homes, unable to communicate with each other, express themselves on social media, or make their voices heard in any way.

On the 31st August, the Indian regime published its updated National Register of Citizens (NRC) in India’s north-east state of Assam, which has a large Muslim population. The register, excluded nearly 2 million residents in the province from its list of valid citizens, effectively declaring them as “Foreigners”, and essentially rendering them ‘stateless’, even though many have lived in the region for decades or even over generations.

On the 27th of August, the BBC uploaded a film investigating the current drought situation gripping Indonesia. It is affecting millions of residents even though there is an abundance of water in the nation. It is reported that supply is not able to meet the demand in the summer months when many natural sources in areas dry up.

India deployed another 125,000 soldiers to Kashmir, joining around the already existing 500,000. Meanwhile schools reopened but most classrooms remain empty as parents keep their children at home.
