Call to the women of Pakistan from the women of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Pakistan

Respected Muslim women of Pakistan!

Allah said,

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ]

"O you who believe! Respond to Allah and the Messenger when they call you towards that which gives you life." [Surah al-Anfal 8:24] The call of Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saw) is a call that touches the hearts and minds of the Muslim women. It is a call that has motivated Muslim women throughout Islamic history to act for Islam and to reject all that contradicts it. The first believer in Islam was Khadijah (ra) the first martyr in Islam was Sumaya (ra) and the stories abound of Ayesha, Fatima and Asma, of Nusayba and Safiya (ra). These examples echoed through the era of the Khilafah "Caliphate" state, inspiring legions of believing women to further the cause of Islam. Let us not forget the women of the Indian Subcontinent who did not cease their struggle against British Occupation. Bi Amma was the mother of Shaukat Ali and Mohammad Ali, the key figures in the movement for the Khilafah "Caliphate", and she is well known for her strong Iman. When in December 1921, her sons were arrested by British troops she said in regards to any possible compromise by her son with the British, "Mohammad Ali is a son of Islam and he can't even think about begging forgiveness from the British. If he does so then my old hands have enough strength to strangle him." She would tell her sons when they were in jail for their leadership of the Khilafah "Caliphate" movement, "My sons! Hold fast to Islam with all your might. Never mind even if your life is sacrificed in the cause of Islam." Thus throughout the ages of Islam, the Muslim women strove for the dominance of Islam.

O sisters!

Today, the Ummah has awoken in rejection to the colonialist domination of the Muslim Lands, in the form of systems that do not come from Islam. Whether we have a military dictator or a change of president or prime minister, whether we have one ruling party or a coalition or an interim government, their rule is based on mans laws not the laws of Allah (swt). These rulers and systems are totally illegitimate and they are the open doors the colonialist West use to continue their dominance over us. And the Muslim women have awoken, along with the Muslim men, to her cause Islam.

The call for Islam, implementation of Islamic law and the re-establishment of the Khilafah "Caliphate" has gained huge momentum. The Arab uprisings have also resonated with the call for Islam, and Muslim women have called as loudly as their Muslim brothers. Across the world women who have lived under the capitalist system have rejected it and have chosen the Islam and its state, the Khilafah "Caliphate". Even the increase in Western media propaganda against Islam is itself is a sign of the return of the Khilafah "Caliphate", for its growing support in the Ummah has alarmed the West. In particular this attack has always tried to convince the Muslim women that democracy will liberate her and Islam will oppress her. When they entered Afghanistan and Iraq, the Americans spoke about their goal of liberating Muslim women and were shocked when their 'liberation' was rejected, and instead the Ummah stood firmly calling for Islam.

Indeed, democracy has not brought liberation for women, Muslim or non-Muslim. Democracy has brought slavery to the whims and desires of men and women who sit as the law makers. In economics, democracy has brought economic collapse that has impacted negatively on women and their families globally. In the social system, democracy has brought confusion for men and women in understanding their roles in society, in their families and with each other. Democracy has created a situation where man's role became elevated and women's role became degraded. The reality is women became burdened with too many roles and were left to take care of themselves with no-one responsible for helping her. In terms of her honour, democracy and freedom have led to a global attack on the women's honour, exploiting it for men's entertainment. In regards to her security, democracy has not managed to secure women against attack, whether domestic abuse or death in sanctioned military attacks from western nations. The western system that has been implemented in our lands has led to a situation where women can not afford electricity and gas, can not afford to feed their children or to provide health care for them. We are living in a time when the West say they will liberate us, but send drone attacks to destroy our homes and kill our families and they send their soldiers to attack us and dishonour us, and they preach freedom of religion but attack the women who obey Allah (swt) and seek to live by Islam.

This oppression that women face will only be lifted and replaced with justice through the implementation of Allah (swt) laws. Justice that ensures the society protects and values women and does not seek to burden or exploit her. The Prophet (saw) advised about women in his last Hajj sermon: «اسْتَوْصُوا بِالنِّسَاءِ خَيْرًا...» "Treat the women well..." [Ibn Majah] The Muslim woman is one who does not accept the oppression and subjugation to the laws that come from the whims and desires of men or women; but she elevates herself through her obedience to her Creator and the laws He swt has given her. The laws of Allah (swt) protect the mind, the body and the honor of the women and through the implementation of Islam she enjoys the many blessings Allah (swt) has given her. The Muslim women are obliged only to carry out the roles that Allah (swt) mandated for her and she is protected by her father, her husband and by the state. It is an obligation for women to be educated in the Deen, such that the Ummah produced many women scholars such as Ayesha (ra) and she has the choice to be educated in other areas such as Rafidah al-Aslamiyyah, who was a pioneer in the science of medicine. She can work, but maintenance of the family is obliged on the man not the woman, so the womans wealth remains her property. Under the Khilafah "Caliphate" women were active in business and work such as Shifa Umm Sulaiman the judge of the market place. And while conducting her affairs her honour and security is something that must always be protected. She is active in taking care of the Ummah's affairs, accounting the rulers and giving them bayah, such as Umm Ammarah and Umm Munee'a who gave bayah to the Prophet (saw) at Aqabah which was a pledge of Nussrah (support) and ruling. Her problems and her needs are understood by her Creator, who has set laws to solve them, and the Islamic systems are the products of these solutions and they are implemented by the Khilafah "Caliphate" State.

O Respected Muslim women of Pakistan!

Hizb ut Tahrir has made all the preparation for the implementation of Islam's systems using only the Islamic sources of Qur'an and Sunnah. We have prepared the constitution of the Khilafah "Caliphate" State covering the ruling, economic and social systems, the judicial framework and the educational and foreign policy of the State. The reality of the international situation has been studied, political, military and economics to understand how the Khilafah "Caliphate" will manage todays reality once it has been established. We call the Muslim women of Pakistan to join Hizb ut Tahrir in the work for the Khilafah "Caliphate" State. Let us be inspired by the memory of our Muslim sisters throughout the ages who stood for their Deen. Let us rush to fulfill our obligation and gain the reward in the time that we have left before the victory comes from Allah (swt),

"The true believers, both men and women, are protectors of one another. They enjoin what is just and forbid what is evil; they establish Salah, pay Zakah, and obey Allah and His Rasool. It is they on whom Allah will have His mercy; surely Allah is Mighty, Wise." [at-Tawbah 9:71]
