What is the ruling in the Islamic state, on those who change religion from the people of Dhimmah, for example, a Christian who changes to Judaism or vice versa? He is not called an apostate (Murtad), but does he have the rule of the apostate and is it not accepted from him except Islam?
Our Sheikh, I would like to know the rule of Allah on this matter so that my heart becomes at ease.
I was in Jahiliyyah and I stopped fasting Ramadan deliberately without excuse. Then, Alhamdulilah, Allah sent His mercy on me so that I repent to Him.
How do I make up the missed fasts? Do I have to pay “fidiyah” every year or is it enough to make up the fasts?
With reference to your letter of 24/6/2018 regarding sighting the crescent moon (Hilal) of Ramadan of this year, I would like to refer to the following:
The difference in timing between us here in Palestine and California is ten hours, that is, at the time of sighting of the crescent in California, Fajr in our region would have passed by about 3 hours, which means that the whole night ended without determining the sighting on that night, thus our breaking the fast on that day, Wednesday, was valid.
A Teacher of Sociology has raised a question regarding the Edat (time break after a woman’s husband dies which is 4 month and 10 days). He says that as the philosophy behind this time is to come to know about a woman’s pregnancy after her husband’s death so if medically it is proved that a widow is not pregnant then the time of Edat should be reduced accordingly? Need your answer and guidance.
In other words, is the end of service benefit provided for in the current law, which is in force today, a legal (Shari) right for a worker whose term of employment has been terminated? Is the employer’s refusal to pay the end of service payment considered denying the right and committing a Haram (the unlawful)?
When the owner of livestock feeds his livestock for most of the year of his own expenses and only graze for a very small period of the year, with the purpose of increasing production since female sheep often give birth twice and this is the result of feeding it most of the year (and the sheep here is not for trade), is the Zakat obliged here or not?
Can you elaborate the definition of Hoarding? Living in this time of uncertainty with a capitalist system over us, it is easy to think we should have money aside as it is not known when an emergency will arise and the sudden cost of healthcare or emergency travel can be too much to bear.
